hi! it’s been a minute so.... allow me to reintroduce myself... i’m amy. ✨and for the past 15ish years, i’ve been working as a writer, editor, and certified media person in nyc. mostly, i focus on health and wellness. i’m also a mom to two humans and one dog, and partner to a lifelong new yorker. for the past few months, i’ve been quietly freelancing after my last gig running well+good ended. and today, i’m launching my substack, 🍉way beyond well 🍉 it’s a place where i plan to talk about all the ways wellness has gone way beyond the narrow confines that once held it. today, wellness encompasses everything—the way we eat, drink, sleep, work out, and even our psyche and innermost dialogues. i’m interested in the ways wellness continues to shape and influence culture. but i’d also like to tell you about motherhood, the things i’m shopping, and maybe get a little vulnerable along the way. i’ve wanted to do this for a while but there are so (so!) many phenomenal substacks out there already, that i held back. this is what editors do these days, right? that’s all still true, but i’m hopeful there’s still something unique to be found here, with me. so you know the drill—link in bio, keep your expectations low, and i hope you’ll stick around. 🍊🌴🌊

some personal news! ✨ as many of my industry friends have already heard, last month, Well+Good was acquired by Ziff Davis. as part of this transition, i’ll be stepping away from my head of content role. it has been an absolute honor to lead the super talented edit team at well+good over the past year. we accomplished so friggin’ much in such a short period of time—a headline-making trends report, a stellar changemakers edition, health tech and beauty awards, an overhaul of our newsletters, a TikTok launch, an IRL shopping experience in Los Angeles, and killer day to day content to back it all up. i’m so proud to have been part of this team. so what’s next? i’m in my recalibration era—and i couldn’t be more thrilled to dive in. new challenges, adventures, and opportunities are all on the horizon. i can’t wait to keep working with creative, smart, and talented folks, and keep pushing forward. if you’re reading this, let’s catch up soon. ⚡️☀️🍉🌴
