Number one straight out the gate with “I Just Might”.
Different level.
I’m not going to pretend I had a whole lot to do with this album. I didn’t.
But by way of this beautiful chaotic industry, I got to be close enough to feel the heat.
One of my producers relocated to LA late last summer to be there in time for the making of this very record. I watched the build up. The intention. The months of quiet planning before anyone knew a thing. That’s the bit people don’t see.
The Daptone influence? If you know, you know. That raw, disciplined, no-shortcuts way of recording. It changes everything. Real rooms. Real musicians. No hiding.
I heard things early that will stay with me for life. I saw how fast brilliance actually moves when everyone in the room is elite.
I even sneaked in a little FaceTime with Bruno because I couldn’t get to LA. Forever gutted I wasn’t physically there. Forever grateful I was even in the orbit.
Career highlight in the “manager of a producer who touched greatness” category.
And Bruno… if you ever need management, my diary’s clear 😝

Wearing this is not a political statement though; it’s safe to say I have very different views to Mr Barlow. it is, however, the most comfortable thing I own and the only thing I could be arsed to put on at 8am when signing in online for my speed awareness course (naughty!) and more importantly than any of that I’M GOING TO VOTE!!!

Very glad to be part of this conversation at @internationalmusicsummit Ibiza, because burnout is not a personality trait and anxiety is not a career plan.
I’ll be speaking on Off Stage, Off Radar: Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Industry and it’s a conversation I’m really pleased to be part of.
There is, rightly, growing dialogue around artist wellbeing. But the same cannot always be said for the people behind the scenes. The managers, founders, assistants, executives, creatives, event teams and wider industry professionals keeping everything moving whilst carrying huge amounts of pressure themselves.
Burnout, anxiety, isolation, overwhelm, neurodivergence, and the expectation to be constantly available are not side notes in this business. They are far more common than many care to admit. Too often they are normalised, hidden behind humour, or accepted as part of the job.
They should not be.
I’m looking forward to joining @jesscapaz , @fernandomontes__ my @accelerator_mmf sister @francesbarbershillito , @_inezandco 🫶🏽 and @tristanhuntuk for what I know will be an honest, practical and useful conversation. Not just about the problem, but about healthier boundaries, better support, and how we build a music industry that is not only exciting and creative, but more sustainable for the people working within it.
Because this industry can be extraordinary. It can also relentlessly take a lot out of people. Both things are true.

What a day Saturday was with @louisa.kiernander and @wildsoulhealingandbreathing .
Truly wholesome, nourishing and full of the kind of magic that stays with you long after you’ve left the room.
So much gratitude for the Wild Soul healing retreat and for every woman who showed up so openly, so honestly and so beautifully. There was something incredibly powerful about being in circle with women willing to soften, reflect, release and simply be. The energy in the room felt gentle, grounded and deeply inspiring.
From the ceremony and shared moments, to the stillness, the connection, the laughter, the breathwork, the drumming, the nature, and even the simple act of taking time to receive, it felt like such a needed exhale. I also had the most gorgeous Indian head massage with @holisticmindandbody_2024 , which was heaven and exactly what my nervous system ordered. And face paints by @wonkywombwoman 🥰
I left feeling calmer, lighter, held and reminded of how healing it is when women gather with intention.
Deep thanks to everyone who created, held and shared the space. Saturday was a real gift.

This year feels different. For the first time, I didn’t get to wake up with you on your birthday, and I won’t lie… that one stings. The quiet where your excitement should be, the missing morning cuddle, the “Mum, I’m officially a teenager!” moment. Co-parenting teaches you many things, but sharing days like this is one of the hardest❣️
But here’s what I know. My love for you doesn’t live in a morning or a moment. It lives in everything. In every laugh we’ve had, every late-night chat, every eye roll, every hug, every version of you I’ve had the privilege to know.
You are growing into the most brilliant, strong, funny, kind, slightly chaotic (wonder where you get that from) young woman. And I am so unbelievably proud of you it actually hurts.

About last night….made me own jewellery innit!
Kids got me a @classbento_uk voucher for Christmas and it’s only taken me three months to use it! 🤦🏽♀️ But last night I finally made it to @collettedawnjewellery ’s workshop and we spent a few hours making three rings in a one on one class - it was the best thing I’ve done on a Monday evening for the longest time!!
