This weekend was a dream. It’s still very surreal for me that @vegancreatorcon is over. It was a vision I had in New York standing in the rain at @veganstreetfair The Bronx with @justina.justina when I told her I didn’t want to do events anymore. And she looked me in the eye and said, “you can’t give up. Do you see what you’ve built?” 🥹
And around that same, some beautiful people came up to us and thanked me for what I did for their city. And what I post online. And I realized… there are people who love the messages we share in the way we share them. And there are millions of us! But so many of us don’t know how to amplify that message using social media.
So… I created VCC as a way to teach others how to use their voice on social media so that whether they are a VEGAN content creator or a content creator who is VEGAN, they can reach as many people as possible with their message by learning from those of us who are doing it everyday.
And boom. VCC was born. It was originally scheduled for October 2023 but I had to reschedule due to breast cancer and the second time was meant for early 2024 but our venue fell through. So… March 2025 was it.
And through the power of determination and aligning with the most incredible souls—from creators to staff to attendees to @intersections_la —we created some serious earth shaking magic together.
I can’t express my gratitude enough for you all believing in me and my dream. We all took part in that and now we are all a part of a special community that I think can change the landscape of the vegan market for generations to come.
I’m riding this momentum and cannot wait to keep supporting and creating and showing the world what veganism can be—a vibrant community of people who have the same goal from different angles using their voices and propping up a megaphone to them.
Let’s get LOUD. We are the future of veganism. Don’t let this opportunity stay at VCC. Carry it with you every day when you speak, when you post, when you comment. You have the power and we all believe in you. 🫶🏽
