Stamping Out Hunger! With the rising cost of living and the typical slowdown of food donations in the spring, the United States Postal Service stepped up again through the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. In partnership with local post offices and the community, we collected 10,220 lbs of food, refreshing our pantry supply.
Thank you to USPS for leading this effort and to the 19 volunteers, including students from @escondidocharter , for stepping up and ensuring our neighbors have access to vital food and resources.

The Regional Task Force on Homelessness (@rtfhsd ) Point in Time Count data is here, and we are pleased to share that there has been an 11% decrease in unsheltered people countywide and specifically in the City of Escondido.
The decrease in Escondido is due in large part to public-private partnerships. Thanks to our collaboration with the @cityofescondido and the @countyofsandiego , we recently expanded access to detox beds, enabling 682 individuals to access treatment and housing last year. We extend deep gratitude towards @janekimreports with ABC 10News San Diego for sharing more about what’s happening in Escondido.
Interfaith remains committed to working alongside the City and the County to address homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity in Escondido and across the region.
