Released two years ago today, this song and video was unleashed to the world! I’d done a few shows with @james__holden and the animal spirits previously, so it was an honour to be asked to produce the videos for his latest album (and visuals for many of the subsequent shows). I still love this video, but I wish I could remember exactly how I made it. James and @bordercommunityrecordings supplied the red person footage (which they filmed themselves on Wormwood Scrubs) and gave me the job of making it trippy, a job I can do! Epic show with Working Men’s Club last night at TGE. I love working visuals for that band… I still maintain that the visuals are only ever as good as the band onstage, and last night they were brilliant. C2 was really busy too. I should add that Silverwingkiller were also amazing, nothing else like them about!

Following a sold-out Melting Vinyl and Brighton Festival gig, Danalogue returns with his octane club/live crossover that promises a good night out!
Dan(alogue) is a founding member and producer of The Comet is Coming and Soccer96 and weaves hypnotic analogue synths, pulsating drum machines, and cosmic textures into an electrifying live experience. In the face of an imminent AI music takeover, the show is 100% live, as Danalogue uses fingers and adrenaline to adjust hardware on the fly, evolving ethereal dream states into high-energy acid-dancefloor explosions.
The set includes adaptations of the single ‘Sonic Hypnosis’ and tracks from his debut solo album ‘Teleportations.’

I’m beyond excited that my @malaphors_ remix of @sisterraydavies ‘Nave’ is now out there on 10” coloured vinyl, and the usual streaming services! Thanks @soniccathedral@adam.m.morrow and @jamiesego for asking me to do it!
The original of Nave is a beautiful slice of ambient guitar drone; I took a two second sample and run it through a @fieldtone_instruments Weaver, thus creating the burbling ambience that you hear throughout the song. Other snippets of the original are dotted here and there. I had originally planned on giving it a Reese style bassline (I’d been listening to a lot of E-Dancer) but with my drum programming and keys, things ended up going in another direction!
One thing I remember about making music (it’s been such a long time) is that it’s VERY DIFFICULT TO FINISH A PROJECT COZ YOU CANT STOP TWEAKING IT! There was something missing, so I added my own guitar drone over the climatic bit.
