Singapore. Green city. Food paradise. Beautiful weather. Rich culture. Breath taking beauty. Humble people. A far east expedition that could never go wrong. A definite recommendation and a country to visit again.
Thank you @visit_singapore@singaporeair for making this happen.

“Don’t you need a big budget to make a film?”
It is a question that stops many projects before they start. For Vera, the initial budget was projected at 130k with secured funding. When that funding was unexpectedly pulled, it was a momentary setback. Instead of letting the project stall, the approach shifted. The production moved forward by gathering a core group of friends, pooling resources, and creating a 9-minute and 42-second version of the film at exactly 10% of the original budget.
Sometimes, the most important step is simply getting the vision out into the world rather than sitting on it and brooding. Vera is a concept that lived in the mind for seven years before it was finally brought to life. While it was always meant to be a feature film, and the goal remains to explore that expanded format one day, executing the vision with the available resources was the priority.
If you have a story to tell, do not wait for perfect conditions or massive funding to align. Gather your people, use the resources you have, and start creating. The screen is waiting for your vision, regardless of the budget size.

Spending years building a world, obsessing over the edits, the lighting, and the quiet moments, that is the work. Taking all of that and having to perform it for an algorithm is the friction.
It goes against the basic instinct to just let the film speak for itself. You compress all of that weight into a 15-second window and have to stand there pointing at it. It feels entirely unnatural.
It is just the reality of the process now, but the disconnect between creating a piece of art and having to market yourself is jarring. #imtherealvera #shortfilm #psychologicalthriller #teamrsn8 #dubai
Preproduction: The quiet moments before the storm.
Before the cameras roll and the set comes alive, a film is built in the silent phase of preproduction. It is the architecture of the vision, translating a concept into a tangible plan of action.
This is where shot lists are mapped, lighting strategies are defined, and logistical problems are solved before they happen. It aligns the entire crew, transforming a massive undertaking into a focused, collaborative effort.
There is a misconception that heavy planning stifles creativity. In reality, rigorous prep creates the safety net for it. When the logistical framework is ironclad, the director and actors are free to explore the truth of a scene without the anxiety of a collapsing schedule.
The storm of production is only navigable if the map drawn beforehand is accurate.

It's been a minute.
March madness!
From everything that we have seen and felt the thing that is worrying is the fact we don't know what tomorrow will bring. The only thing we are hanging on to is hope!
Hope that tomorrow will be better than today!
What the future hold, I honestly don't know. Although I take comfort knowing who holds our future.
Tomorrow is a new month, a new ray of hope, a new tomorrow.
Stay safe guys.

What should we do next???
One of the most awkward experience I have with the writing of this film is the fact that it literally sounds like me from the beginning to the end. Lol. But rewatching this again made me realise how this one scene is such a reminder for us to not give up. Someone else is always looking at us and looking up to us.
Hang in there guys! This to shall pass.
@ret_575 thanks for bringing dylan to life!!!
