The valley of life.
I’ve spent the year in the mountains of South India. On the path less trodden and adrift in time. There’s something about the summit, where you arrive at a vantage point and watch the world unfold. If you’re lucky, you get to see the most incredible perspectives of animals that live at the top. The tiger in the first photograph is easily one of my most favourite sightings of the year. In the photo it looks like he’s just perched on a rock, but it’s hard to convey just how steep that slope was—one misstep would’ve been catastrophic. He cared not for the valley that loomed below and moved across the rock faces with ease, reminding us just how beautifully designed these animals are.
