Throwback to the biggest and most time consuming piece of art I’ve ever made. This print of Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon
A true celebration of all things Houston, I hand carved an 4’ x 8’ woodblock at @burningbonespress . Got it printed onto paper at @saintarnoldbrewing with a steamroller for @printmatters Rockin Rollin’ Prints. Then water colored the jersey and displayed it at @cactus_music . Finally took it to a signing at @academy to get it signed by the legend himself. A giant collaboration of so many Houstonians and Houston institutions to bring this idea to life.
The inspiration for this life size Hakeem print were the life size posters and cardboard cutouts of athletes that were everywhere growing up. I wanted to use more traditional fine art printing techniques to bring those posters into the fine art world. Last year, I followed this up with a life size Altuve, which Houston icon should I tackle next?
Houston Folks! I’ll see y’all this Saturday May 16th from 11-7 at @saintarnoldbrewing for Arts and Drafts!
I’ll be there selling pins, stickers, prints and other thangs I make along with 40+ other artists. Mention this post to get 1 free high five (while supplies last).
I’m obsessed with this Houston pattern. Everything I put it on is my new favorite thing. Got this sample utility backpack a month or so ago and it’s my new go to bag. Had to snap a photo at the @theorangeshow slab social this weekend.
If you like it as much as I do, I’ve added this style and a classic backpack in two color ways to my online store!
Throwback to a pandemic project. It was such an honor to create this mural celebrating a Houston icon on 300 Main St.

A huge thank you to the Downtown District [@DowntownHouston ] and @UpArtStudio for allowing me this opportunity to celebrate Marvin Zindler as part of their #WindowWorks program.

I’ve been working on this Houston pattern for years drawing, redrawing, adding new icons, re-redrawing. Like our highways, it’s a constant work in progress.

What iconic Houston landmarks do you spot? Which ones do you think I should add? Let me know in the comments, maybe I’ll give you some free thangs…
Have you seen these around Midtown Houston?
Myself and some other talented artists got the opportunity to design different wraps for parking meters in midtown a couple years ago. Realized today I never shared mine!
Thank you to @upartstudio@minimurals@midtownhou for the opportunity to celebrate the city!
Houston folks, I’ll see yall this Saturday at @theblindgoathtx for their day market!
They’ll be lots of great local vendors with everything from food to art to handmade goods. Come out and support the local community and buy some thangs from me so I can spend it on other vendors 😆
