Every Shabbat, I light candles with my daughter. A small ritual passed from generation to generation.
A moment to pause.
To give thanks.
To pray for love, peace, compassion… and for softer hearts in this world.
More and more, I find myself holding onto the traditions that remind me where I come from, what matters, and the kind of home I want my daughter to grow up in.
Light over fear.
Love over hate.
