New office. New chapter. 📣 I’m so excited to share that I’m joining Los Angeles Magazine as the new face and Editor-in-Chief of Digital Content. @lamag
After taking some much-needed time off and looking at a few different opportunities, I made the decision that felt most aligned with the evolution of my career — and what I want this next chapter to look like.
For years, I covered Los Angeles as a news reporter — the breaking stories, the neighborhoods, the people, and the moments that shaped this city in real time.
Now, I get to cover LA in a new way. Still rooted in journalism, but with more room for culture, lifestyle, long-form storytelling, in-depth profiles, interviews, podcast programming, original video, digital news, and social-first storytelling.
I’ve loved Los Angeles Magazine for decades because it has always captured this city with intelligence, style, curiosity, and edge. And to now be part of a magazine with 65 years of LA legacy feels incredibly meaningful.
We’re building something new here — and I can’t wait to bring stories from this city, and from the LA Mag archives, to life in a whole new way.

Harvey Weinstein’s Manhattan retrial has ended in another mistrial after jurors once again failed to reach a unanimous verdict on the rape charge involving Jessica Mann.
Multiple jurors told Los Angeles they believed prosecutors did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt, with the panel reportedly split 9-3 in favor of acquittal.

California’s governor’s race had its last major debate before the primary — and the clearest takeaway?
Becerra walked in as the target. Porter pressed the math. Steyer went after billionaires. Mahan pitched competence. Villaraigosa leaned on his experience running L.A. Hilton and Bianco made the case for a California reset.
Primary day is June 2. The fight for those two November spots is officially on.

One of the many great perks about Los Angeles living is a new adventure is never more than a drive away. In just a few hours (sometimes less), you can end up in a sleepy coastal town, at the state’s most esteemed luxury resorts, in a blossoming desert restaurant scene and more. So, join the 71% of Americans planning to drive on their next vacation — according to Hilton — and make your summer getaway a road trip. Get started by heading to the link in bio and discovering where to go according to Los Angeles magazine’s editors.

A neuroscientist vanishes after leaving a meditation retreat in the mountains of New Mexico. Days later, her shattered Subaru is found abandoned on a remote dirt road with a boulder lodged through the rear window, laptops inside and no trace of where she went.
Now, Ingrid Lane’s disappearance is drawing renewed attention amid growing concern surrounding a string of missing or dead scientists tied to defense and aerospace circles.

Dana Williamson, the former chief of staff to Gov. Gavin Newsom, pleaded guilty Thursday in a federal corruption case that prosecutors say involved stolen campaign funds, false tax filings and luxury personal spending.
Investigators allege the scheme siphoned money tied to a dormant Xavier Becerra campaign account while Williamson held one of the most powerful jobs in California politics.

Karen Bass is still leading LA’s mayor race, but the mood around City Hall feels far less certain than it did two years ago.
New polling shows Bass ahead, yet voter frustration over homelessness, wildfire response, affordability and public safety continues to shape the race as challengers like Nithya Raman and Spencer Pratt gain attention.
With the World Cup and Olympics approaching, many Angelenos are asking whether the city is truly improving.
