Described as 'unlike any other building outside London', the recently transformed Campus Reading development boasts over 375,000 sq. ft of modern, efficient, and wellbeing-focused office space. With aspirations to achieve the prestigious 'BREEAM Excellent' and @wellcertified 'WELL Platinum' rating, #IFSE's modern, open and bold design for the on-site caterer, @baxterstorey , was selected for the space at #CampusReading by client team @alchemy_asset_management , and project management team, @quartz_project_services . The result is a diverse and inclusive café, restaurant and workspace fuelled by a cutting-edge, low-emission commercial kitchen, complete with the best of @electroluxpro , @unoxukltd and @rational_ag catering technology. Swipe through our latest restaurant, café and commercial kitchen transformation for @angliaruskin ’s Cambridge campus 🥗   ‘The eatery.’ boasts a modern and inviting ambience, with three distinct servery areas for freshly cooked hot food. Copper and exposed bulb pendant lighting dangle from the ceilings, casting a warm and inviting glow over the spacious dining area 💡   A beaming neon ‘the Marketplace’ sign beckons diners toward a self-service grab-and-go section, where a convenient array of quick bites, hot beverages and soft drinks await 🥤   A ‘Deli Bar’ neon sign sits above the pristine end counter, where the aroma of freshly cooked breakfasts, delectable bakery items and indulgent sweet treats waft through the air 🥐   Behind the scenes is a large commercial kitchen, the powerhouse of all the freshly cooked meals and baked products that you will find at the front of house.   Complete with the latest cutting-edge catering equipment, our hygienic stainless steel and energy-efficient back-of-house is deliberately designed to optimise every aspect of food preparation ☑️ Want to learn more? We’re excited to share the arrival of The Switch at Green Park, a bold new food and drink destination at the heart of Lime Square ✨ Working closely with Mapletree and the team at The Switch, we helped transform a previously vacant unit into a warm, characterful space that balances standout design with smooth day to night operation. From the biophilic green wall and raw material palette, to zoned seating and an efficient, compact kitchen, every detail was shaped around great food, strong flow and a welcoming guest experience. Designed to thrive during busy daytime service and ease into relaxed evenings, The Switch has already become a cornerstone of the revitalised Green Park offer, drawing queues from day one and earning praise for its “home vibes”. Launching the Street Bakeshop, bringing its award winning, craft-led approach to baking to a vibrant new artisanal bakery and café at the heart of Green Park ✨ Proudly sitting in the centre-piece pavilion in the middle of Lime Square, the previously vacant unit would now boast a flagship showcase space, featuring a fully glazed bakery room and open cookline to counters filled with freshly prepared products. Customers are encouraged to see, smell and engage with food being made throughout the day. With restored original flooring, hand-crafted furniture and calm micro cement finishes sit along a visually striking counter and colour scheme that creates a space that feels characterful, considered and true to the brand. Delivered with a speedy turnaround and minimal time on site, the project was carefully coordinated to reduce disruption while creating a high performing space. Looking back at one of our recent projects in central London, where we designed, manufactured and installed this sleek café counter for a workplace dining space. To compete with London’s vibrant high street scene, the goal was to bring that same high street quality and experience into the building, creating a welcoming space for great coffee, fresh food and everyday connection.
