Making songs in a little bedroom studio, we do it for ourselves, in an act of creation & release. When we share it into the world, it becomes something entirely different. This piece of art — videos, songs, images — combined the love and efforts of friends from opposite ends of the country, from all different backgrounds, in all kinds of capacities. Friends who came together to create a very meaningful, freeing piece of work about a planet that exists only though imagination, and pulls us directly out of reality into a whimsical blue-tinted, space-age-inspired world of joy. In sharing these efforts, this planet’s population expands tenfold, & PROMETHEANS has become a true reality. Art exists to transport and connect, & this planetary body has been a huge cornerstone in connecting different parts of our lives, in different time zones, in all the different ways joy & identity can be expressed. FRACTURED feat @echosofficial is out now 🛸🖤 a song written across 2 coasts and the most concrete, heartfelt song song on this EP. The ways that so many of my dearest friends came together to create this special body of work and the planet it lives in is nothing short of miraculous. Working with Echos was also such a dream of mine that I get to check off the bucket list now. Echos is someone I’ve admired for a long time, one of my dearest friends, and she has this INSANE voice!!@icarusmoth is the greatest producer I have ever met, and this instrumental he had breaks and ebbs and flows and has this beautiful emotional skeleton, and Echos brought that signature tenderness and power to it. I loved writing this with her and experimenting with such a beautiful, haunting voice that saved my soul. I had been carrying around the feelings in this song for such a long time, so heavily, and now those words are yours. I trained in classical music for many years but cast that to the wayside for electronic music, and this song encouraged me to add these wails to the second drop that I am really proud of and made me release so much pain. And the friends who helped shape these visuals and this world made that pain so manageable. Thank you to everyone who helped guide this special song along.
