Finding private investors for THE BOOTH has been fun. We’ve already raised roughly 40k of our 100k production budget in the first 2 weeks and we’re looking for more of $2500 or more to be an executive producer. If you’re interested let us know!
In less than 2 weeks we’ve hit over 30% of our production budget! We’re still looking for private investors of $2500 or more to be executive producers and once we hit 50-60% we’ll look into opening up The Booth for a crowdfunding campaign. If you’re interested in investing in an independent original comedy let us know! And send this post to anyone who might be interested!
Yesterday I was announced as part of the @cbscasting 20th anniversary comedian showcase and I want to say thank you to them and thank you to everyone for their kind words and encouragement. Now I want to take the attention I’m getting and direct it towards my next project. A feature film. My feature film directorial debut, THE BOOTH. A film I wrote with my friends @jay_beckk & @lucasdipietrantonio . In the @variety article, CBS said “We believe this select group represents the bright future of comedy.” So if that’s true, I’m ready to just go do it. I’m tired of pitching, I’m tired of general meetings, I’m tired of hearing all the wack reasons why comedy movies can’t be made so we’re doing it ourselves. My heroes Spike Lee, Robert Townsend, and Kevin Smith all got their start making low budget indie films all made for under 200k. (She’s Gotta Have it, Hollywood Shuffle, Clerks) I have more fame, credits, and industry experience than all 3 of them when they made their first films that became cult classics. I’ve written tv, acted on tv, headlined all over the country and internationally on tours I created and made my own films and comedy specials. We’ll be shooting the film in October with a budget of 200K. So far we have received 10% of that budget and are looking for more private investors before we crowdfund. We’re looking for investors of $2500 or more to be credited as an Executive Producer on the film and if you’d like to know more info and would like to help us out just reach out!
