It was a dream to collaborate with @emackphoto on these images reminiscent of turn of the century portraits. Definitely something out of the norm for both of us and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Corset and dress made by me. ✨

“For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” 🥀🗡️
@nicolesloanphoto turned me into a painting. My ode to Olivia Hussey and costume designer Danilo Donati. Oh how I love the Italian Renaissance silhouette.

My gamurra was inspired by a mix of Danilo Donati’s costume design for Romeo and Juliet and a bit of Ever After. The embroidery was inspired by a painting I saw! Head to toe handmade by me 🤍

Also sorry I post this dress so much I just love it and I’m proud of it hehe. I miss the ren faire! Also no this is not historically accurate but heavily inspired by many fashions from 12th-15th centuries. #medieval #medievalfantasy #sewing
What surviving the past few years has felt like. Absolutely love these outdoor captures by @lindsphoto I feel most myself when I’m engulfed by my hair and a voluminous dress. Corset and dress by me 🗡️
EDIT: I know the photos I used aren’t AI. I refuse to even put AI in my examples. I was making a generalization of what people think medieval hairstyles are. I also know the ones I show are more Renaissance. That furthers my point. Please stop attacking me for such silly little things. This video was meant to be lighthearted.
Spoiler: women mostly covered their hair from about 12th-early 15th century in many parts of Europe. Especially married women. I’m really tired of AI slop you guys. I get that it’s not everyone’s area of interest but all of these crazy half updos are merely the creation of fantasy. Which is ok! I just like to show you the more historically accurate (ish) versions. The medieval period spanned approximately 1,000 years too so there’s that!

I will never stop shaming people for using generative AI to make “art.” It’s just another thing contributing to the spread of misinformation. Not saying what I’m wearing is historically accurate either but you know what I mean.

Is this the medieval equivalent of stealing your boyfriend’s hoodie? I just winged it with this one and dying this much yardage of fabric was an Olympic feat. I feel like a yassified Lord Farquaad. Also this is a wig btw!

Never gonna stop sharing this dress. I love it so much (even thought I see room for improvement.) In @nicolesloanphoto ‘s studio a couple months ago.
