Meet the new look for IBC ✨
Our refreshed logo reflects our team and the values that guide everything we do. We’ll no longer refer to ourselves as Ireland Brown Constructions, but we’re still the same team you know and trust.
We’re excited to move forward as IBC and continue delivering excellence.
Celebrating 10 years of Jonathan Shue at IBC 🎉
Jonathan joined us in 2016 as an Estimating Assistant and has since progressed to Senior Contract Administrator, contributing to a range of key projects including Kingston Gardens Aged Care, Springvale Community Precinct, Ruyton Girls’ School, and The Watson Apartments.
Jonathan has consistently demonstrated dedication, expertise, and a collaborative spirit, leaving a lasting impact on both our projects and our people. These qualities strongly align with our values, which he has embodied throughout his time here.
Thank you for your commitment over the past decade. We are proud to have you as part of the team.
PROJECT UPDATE // Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School - empowerED Learning Hub
Our estimating team recently visited Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School as part of a training session, gaining firsthand insight into the Level 2 core and façade panel installation.
With works progressing toward Slab Pour B, the visit was a valuable opportunity to connect estimating with real-time construction, building a deeper understanding of sequencing, buildability, and how design translates on site.
Great to see the project taking shape and the continued collaboration across teams.

PROJECT UPDATE // New hub within the Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct
We’re pleased to share the first update on a new hub within the Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct, delivered in partnership with @maroondahcitycouncil
A significant milestone has been achieved on site with the successful installation of the tower crane. This marks a clear step forward in the build program and reflects the detailed planning and coordination of the team. It’s always an exciting moment as the structure begins to take shape and the project becomes more visible to the community.
Funded by Maroondah City Council, the Victorian Government and the Australian Government, IBC is proud to be delivering this important development, which will form a new focal point within the precinct.
The hub will bring together civic services, public spaces, and sustainable design outcomes, responding directly to the needs of the local area.
A key focus of the project is delivering long-term value through collaboration, quality outcomes, and genuine stakeholder engagement. These principles closely align with IBC’s approach, and we’re pleased to be working alongside Maroondah City Council to bring this vision to life.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project continues to rise.
Thank you to @associated.mobile for the seamless install and @digitalhorizonau for capturing the process.
Car parks rarely receive much architectural attention — the Ringwood Activity Centre Car Park is an exception.
Working with @co_opstudio and @ibcbuild , Tensile delivered two specialist scopes on the project.
• Webnet mesh barriers providing transparent fall protection
• Installation of 1,870m² of @flexbrick , forming the building’s distinctive ceramic facade
The result is a structure that remains open, ventilated and visually integrated with its surroundings.

PROJECT UPDATE // Novotel Geelong Tower No.2
Works continue steadily on site, with key structural activities advancing across Level 5.
The concrete pour for the Tower 2 carpark is scheduled for this week, marking an important milestone in supporting ongoing vertical construction. Formwork for Level 6 has commenced, ensuring the structure is prepared for upcoming pours.
In parallel, installation of perimeter formwork screens is underway, improving site safety and more efficient progression of the building’s overall structure.
Strong momentum continues across the project.

IBC was proud to be back at RMIT University’s Careers Fair for Property, Construction and Project Management.
It was a great opportunity to connect with students and share insights into the exciting pathways our industry has to offer.
We always enjoy meeting the next generation of professionals who will help shape the future of the built environment.

PROJECT UPDATE // North Bellarine Aquatic Centre
The much-anticipated stage two of the North Bellarine Aquatic Centre is officially underway, with construction of the indoor facilities progressing well.
We celebrated the ceremonial sod turning alongside project partners and the Community Advisory Panel, marking an exciting milestone as this next stage comes to life.
Works are advancing on the indoor pool hall, with the facility beginning to take shape ahead of its transformation into a year-round aquatic hub for the local community.
To support construction and ensure public safety, access to the existing 50-metre outdoor pool has been temporarily rerouted. The outdoor pool will remain open via an alternate entrance until mid to late April, before closing through to mid-October while high-risk works are carried out.
Once complete, the new indoor centre will feature a 25-metre eight lane pool, warm water pool, accessible change facilities, gymnasium and group fitness spaces, café, and improved landscaping, pathways, and parking, creating a modern, inclusive space.
With completion expected in mid-2027, this project will significantly expand local access to aquatic and wellness facilities across the Bellarine.
The project is proudly delivered in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong, Victorian Government, and Australian Government.

PROJECT UPDATE // Frankston Stadium
Exciting progress is being made on the new Frankston Basketball and Gymnastics Stadium, with works on track for completion in 2027.
We recently welcomed local council members, along with state and federal representatives, for a site walkthrough to discuss the project’s community impact. Representatives from Frankston District Basketball Association and Bayside Gymnastics Club were also present, highlighting the strong collaboration behind this important initiative.
This development is set to deliver long-term benefits, support the growth of indoor sports and encourage greater participation, especially among women and girls, through modern, fit-for-purpose facilities.
We’re pleased to be part of building a space that will serve the Frankston community for years to come.
This project is proudly delivered by @frankstoncity in partnership with the Australian and Victorian Governments.

PROJECT UPDATE // RecWest & Shorten Reserve (Stage 1)
Works are continuing on RecWest and Shorten Reserve in West Footscray.
Demolition of the old RecWest building is almost complete, and soil is being brought onto site as part of essential compaction works on the Oval.
Increased truck movements will occur to facilitate the placement of 1.5 m of soil over Shorten Reserve Oval, which will remain in place for the next 12 months.
Preparation for the plaza along Market Street is expected to begin in the coming weeks. This will include removal of the road, existing footpaths, gutters and drainage.
This project is jointly funded by Maribyrnong City Council and the Victorian Government.
