Beyond delighted to have been awarded Best Production Design for my work on “easybake” at @vanshortfilmfest the other month! First time being there in person to accept an award, was bloody lush! Canada’s first standing subway film set! 🚉Such a cool project to design a couple months back. Tore out the whole inside of a skytrain, kept all the parts, altering them, then piecing them back together, repurposing as much of the original skytrain materials as possible. The creative process for this one was definitely interesting, lots of challenges I’d never been faced with. The whole process was pretty long, specifically the detailing, but it was insanely fun and fulfilling. Love love loved this project, very grateful to @lumostage for bringing me on board to make this come to life! It took a mega team to make this mega project happen. Big ups to head carpenter @tynanosaurus , wouldn’t have been able to make it happen without your mad skills!
