🌸The May edition of Bodyclock was a complete masterclass in techno. 💥 Huge thanks to everyone who brought the energy from start to finish. ​ ⚡​@hycastle set the tone immediately, delivering a set full of heavy, driving grooves and an intense momentum that pushed the dancefloor from start to finish. ✨​Our residents @misskleio and Zola (@thoughtfulrevolutionsmusic ) navigated the energy throughout the evening with their signature hypnotic Detroit selections. ​ 🙌​A massive congratulations to our friend @nick_sweetman on the opening of his newest solo show, "Why You Haven't Seen Me," currently showing at @iszagallery . We're back with the May edition of our techno night. Joining us this evening, we have one of the best selectors Toronto's underground has to offer. ⚡Feature artist // @hycastle Hycastle is a non-binary DJ, producer, and artist. They come to the booth with 15 years of music production experience and a nuanced approach to mixing. Their techno sets dig into hardgroove, industrial, and hypnotic sounds, the kind of selections that feel like they were pulled from somewhere dark, funky, and otherworldly. As co-owner of the @konduktor.to collective, one of Toronto's most forward-thinking electronic communities, they've helped build something genuinely special in the city. With billings alongside AADJA, UFO95, and DJ 3000 and a slot at Sojourn Festival last year, Hycastle brings a deep love and a sharp ear to every set they play. Come prepared to hear something you didn't expect and leave wanting more of it. KONDUKTOR returns for its 11th edition, bringing another chapter of forward-thinking club music to Toronto. Rooted in electro but never defined by it, the project keeps growing, shaped by a community that shows up and keeps coming back💖 For this edition, KONDUKTOR welcomes @grrlmusic . North Carolina’s GRRL is a DJ and producer with a monthly residency on NTS since 2015 and a discography that pulls the best from electro, techno, jersey club, grime, breaks, and jungle. Writing, producing, and mixing everything themselves, their tracks are built around dense percussion, glitchy vocal chops, and heavy club vibes designed for a powerful system inside a dark n sweaty room. This March, GRRL released “Beetle” a 24-track record that runs through ballroom, braindance, hyperpop, and hard-edged techno without losing focus. KONDUKTOR has grown another year, continuing to define itself as a platform for forward-thinking club music in Toronto. It’s been a wild journey we shared together from our first ever event in 2024 till this moment. For our first party of 2026, we welcome PHASMID! Based in United Kingdom, @__phasmid__ is a producer and DJ working across UK bass, breaks, garage, electro, techno, and trance. He is the boss of @taipantraxuk , a label known for deep technical cuts, designed to push club systems to their limits. His productions combine layered rhythms and meticulous sound-design, shaping a unique signature style influenced by cyberpunk and sci-fi aesthetics. Over recent years, Phasmid has built a strong international presence, performing across the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia. His releases have earned support from DJs worldwide, as his work consistently appears in club and festival lineups across the globe. Known for selections that balance technicality with groove, Phasmid brings music that is both precise and experimental, appealing to audiences who value creativity and depth. Women in Iran are systematically oppressed by the state. They are denied equal rights under the law and controlled in nearly every part of life, from marriage and divorce to work, travel, and child custody. Girls can be forced into marriage as children. Women are policed for how they dress, stopped in the street, arrested, beaten, jailed, or fired for not complying. Speaking out can mean prison, torture, or death. This is not cultural difference. It is state violence and gender apartheid enforced through fear. Right now, people across Iran are protesting for basic freedoms and dignity. Many have been met with extreme violence and murder, mass arrests, and internet shutdowns to silence what is happening. Sharing accurate information and supporting human rights efforts matters an incredible amount right now, especially when voices inside the country are being cut off. If you have a shred of care about women's rights, human rights, be a voice of Iran. ~About the Mix~ This mix is titled in Farsi out of respect for a mother and loved one close to me and in solidarity with the people of Iran, especially women. Losing my mother as a child shaped my life in ways that took years to understand and survive. This mix reflects that journey through grief, strength, struggle, and the ongoing work of finding freedom within yourself and standing up for others.
