🛸 PHASMID DEBUT ALBUM 🛸 I’m very excited to present my debut album - Dark Forest Theory LP on Taipan Trax 😁 This one has been in the works for a while! Nine tracks spanning the UK bass spectrum that I’ve been working on over the last year. This is the largest project I’ve ever worked on and I’m super proud of how it’s turned out! Thanks for all the support and feedback on this one so far. Releasing an album has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and I wanted this album to have a bit of something for everyone who’s been following my music over the last few years, so expect a few different flavours throughout! Thanks for all the support this year ❤️ 2025 has been the maddest year of my life - I’ve been lucky enough to play in 14 different countries, and to travel the world through music which is something I never thought would be possible! Thanks to everyone who has booked me, come to see me play, bought my releases or listened to my music this year, it really means a lot. The support on @taipantraxuk has also been incredible, and throwing the first Taipan event has definitely been one of the highlights! As has releasing my first ever solo vinyl EP on @gimmeabreakrecords earlier this year 🤝 Got plenty of exciting announcement coming your way in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. Happy New Year!

Phasmid is a producer and DJ who has been smashing the buttons and the production for a few years now. His sound covers a wide range making him a producer that stands out from the crowd. This post is a highlight of some of my favourite tracks before his debut album "Dark Forest Theory" releases on the 1st of May. Make sure you give that a listen! __________________________ Phasmid is a London based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist central to the UK’s underground electronic scene. Trained in violin and guitar for over a decade and dabbling in parts of piano, drums and bass, he translates this musicality into a clinical, bass-led sound blending electro, breakbeat, and trance amongst other genres. He is a founding member of the 128kbps collective and became involved in BabyStep Magazine in 2017 (founded by his mate, Josh), documenting the northern scene before launching his musical alias. In 2021, he established Taipan Trax, a label dedicated to moody, menacing and unnerving productions from emerging artists. The imprint hit major milestones with its first vinyl release in 2023 and Phasmid’s own 2026 album, Dark Forest Theory, which explores dark, driving and unique themes. His output, including the 2025 Hadal Zone EP, is known for meticulous sound design that captures a sharp, high-pressure atmosphere. Phasmid’s international profile has surged with tours across Asia, Oceania, and North America. Highlights include headlining Toronto’s KONDUKTOR in 2026 and performing on Rinse FM. Whether performing at UK venues like the Pickle Factory or international raves, he remains a key innovator in UK bass music, balancing technical precision with a heavy, driving groove. __________________________ ⬇️ What's your favourite Phasmid track?
