A new Glycerin variation has arrived in our tasting room! We’ve doubled down on the tropical fruit, with loads of mango and papaya, giving this Sour Double IPA notes of summer fruit salad, Airheads, grilled pineapple, and mango soda. We encourage you to share this one with some friends in the sunshine ☀️
A couple of our favorite community events are coming up and we hope you can join us!

This event is rain or shine from 12pm-4pm. We can’t think a of a better Mother’s Day gift that keeps on giving.
@oysterparty will also be back this weekend, slinging freshly shucked oysters and succulent lobster rolls. They’ll be here from 12pm until they sell-out this Saturday and Sunday!
On Monday, we’re hosting @chronogram for the launch of their May edition, featuring our beloved Beacon community. 5:30pm-7pm.
Coming up soon….the return of our pals @story_screen_presents to HVB! Outdoor movies will begin once a month (every third Thursday) this Summer! Movies begin around dark and we’ll kick off the season with a cult favorite, Rushmore on Thursday, May 21!
Amulet Sour Farmhouse was one of the first beers we ever made. A few years later, we reimagined it as a Sour IPA, now a favorite for many who visit us.
Amulet Sour IPA is brewed with milk sugar, blueberry, and hibiscus. We get notes of Sour Punch Straws, Lambrusco, and wild blueberry pie! Bright, jammy, and drinkable.
Amulet Sour Farmhouse Ale is our New York State Sour Farmhouse Ale conditioned on blueberries and hibiscus flowers, aged in oak for over a year, and finished with local wildflower honey. Soft and layered, with notes of blueberry Swedish Fish, tart berries, Gushers, and melted blueberry lavender ice pops.
Everybody wish Pops a big Happy Birthday! He’s 79 years young today and we’re celebrating him. Since the beginning he’s been pushing us forward and fixing all our broken things. Happy Birthday Pops! We’re grateful for all your hard work and for teaching us how to use your tools.
It’s our annual release of the Valley Beer Vintage Series! We release this collection of mature, oak-aged, Sour Farmhouse Ales every year to celebrate our anniversary. We’re nine years into our brewery, and still filling the oak barrels we filled on day one! Since then, our farmhouse program, our brewing practices, and our yeast cultures have continued to evolve, and we’re really excited to share with you a new expression of our work.
This year’s Valley Beer Vintage Series marks the first time we have explored a Guezue-inspired blend of one, two, and three year old barrels of Valley Beer. Valley Beer itself has evolved into a once a year blend of our favorite barrels, all of which are brewed with 100% New York State grain and aged whole leaf hops, and spontaneously fermented in our large oak foudres. For this project, a portion of three annual blends, 2022, 2023, and 2024, were returned to oak barrels to continue aging. Last year, we brought all three back together as Valley Beer Vintage 2024. Its been in the bottle, slowly conditioning with wildflower honey for just over a year now, and its tasting lovely. It’s brightly acidic, rich with honey and oak, and lightly carbonated. We taste apricot, honey lemon iced tea, mustard seed caviar, and dandelion.
To round out the Valley Beer Vintage Series, we’re also releasing Valley Beer Vintage 2024: Cherry and Blueberry. For each of these, we take a portion of Valley Beer Vintage and let it condition with freshly picked local fruit for a few months. While Valley Beer Vintage is still present as the base beer, these two fruited versions are amplified expressions of our favorite summer fruits. In Valley Beer Vintage Cherry, we taste red Gatorade, Queen Anne’s cordial cherries, autumn olives, and cherry blossoms, and in Blueberry we taste blueberry cobbler, farmstand fresh pie filling, and Nutri-grain bars.
Thanks for being part of our journey!

This week on nitro we’re pouring Erstwhile, our English-style Dark Mild. A beer for sustenance. Easy drinking, smooth, and refreshing. Talk to @body.void about the lacing.
We’ve also just tapped a keg of Say Less, our whiskey barrel aged Black Lager. After a year in freshly dumped bourbon and rye barrels from @hillrockestatedistillery , this beer has picked up so much flavor and depth. Bold and boozy, but it’s effortlessly crisp and easy to drink. We’re tasting mole poblano, rye Manhattan cocktail, cherry cola, and tiramisu.
Try them with our tasty new hot dog special. We’re making them real nice with house-made chile onion sauce and yellow mustard on a scrumptious potato bun.
