No wheelchairs were harmed in the making of this video. Video description: at the start, Himish, a white drag king in his 40s, is sitting in his wheelchair using a power drill to attach a feathered fan. Text reads 'POV: They tell you not to attach anything to your wheelchair...' The text is completed in the next clip: '...but you just can't stop peacocking'. That clip shows Himish performing onstage with 2 peacock feather fans attached to his wheelchair. He's loving it. #DragKing #Peacocks #WheelchairUser #DisabledJoy #DisabilityPride

Thanks @doriant.fisk for getting hold of a paper copy of @snackmag_ , which mentions me in the drag kings article. It's always especially exciting to see your name in print these days! Want to know more about my 'something exciting in the pipeline'? Come along to the Adam Smith tonight (5 November) to see my funding pitch, and give @ghost.whistles a follow. To read the full article, see @doriant.fisk 's post. ID: A photo of part of a magazine article. Text reads "PERFORMER HIGHLIGHT: HIMISH MACBETH Himish is a Fife-based drag king who was one of the first participants in the Shut Up and King KINGcubator programme a few years ago. He is fast becoming one of the UK's most well- known disabled drag kings, was a finalist in Europe's biggest drag king competition, and has performed as far away as New Zealand. Himish also has something exciting in the pipeline for Fife, with hopes to create peer support and showcase opportunities for queer and marginalised performers." #DragKing #DragKings #FifeDrag #KingdomOfFife #LGBTQFife #LongLiveTheKing

Hi, I'm Himish Macbeth, I'm a drag king here to spread queer disabled joy, with a side of anarchy. I can do hosting, spoken word, and kids' events, as well as more 'traditional' lipsyncs. I do mad shit like buying a sword because it was featured in my favourite TV show, so now I need more bookings so I can pay for it. Based in Fife, but happy to travel. Video description: A montage of short video clips of Himish Macbeth performing onstage in a variety of venues. Himish is a white middle aged drag king who performs with 2 elbow crutches. Overlaid text at the start reads "Himish Macbeth, Fife-based drag king spreading queer disabled joy and anarchy, Lipsyncs - Hosting - Spoken word". #DragKing #DisabledJoy #DisabledDrag #ScottishDrag

Wheelchair accessible accommodation for Edinburgh Fringe? A few people have asked me about this and I got nothing. Must be level access, with an accessible bathroom of some description. The different people who've asked me have different specific needs so tbh any leads at all would be great. Central would be great but commutable could work. Please comment or DM me if you have any leads. As a side point, if anyone's looking for extra acts in any drag/cabaret shows in an accessible Edinburgh Fringe venue, let me know! I know a lot of talented people who are excluded from most venues due to access. ID: a photo of me, a drag king, sitting onstage in my wheelchair, with overlaid text across three slides, as given in this caption. #EdinburghFringe #EdFringe #AccessibleAccommodation

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing some life modelling at The Little Art Hub in Galashiels with Looking Sketchy - @lookingsketchylifedrawing It's been years since I last life modelled, and it was pre-disability, in full femme times. It was lovely to do it again. Cos and all the team made me feel very safe and respected, and the pictures are amazing! IDs: Images 2, and 4 are photos of me posing at the little art hub. I am sitting in my manual wheelchair, wearing a green sparkly shorts, fishnet tights and a green sparkly hat with peacock feathers in it. Images 1, 3, 5 and 6 are of pictures the artists were drawing In image 2, I am also wearing sparkly green knee high boots, holding my right foot on top of my left knee. Image 1 is a black and white outline drawing of the same pose, drawn on a ipad Image 4 is a photo of me from behind. I am topless and you can see tape on my back from where I have taped my chest. Image 3 is a black and white outline of this drawn on an iPad, with '3 min' written in the top left Image 5 is a head and shoulders drawing of me with my head turned away. It's drawn using coloured highlighters. Image 6 is drawn using a red pen. It shows me in entirity, including my wheelchair. It's drawn from a rear perspective, but I am turning towards the artist. There is a fan of feathers behind my chair. Image 7 is a photo with art supplies in focus at the front. I am in posing in the background, out of focus. #LifeModelling #DragKing #LittleArtHub

We did it! Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helped support Saturday's show, whether you came to see it, helped promote it, bought a pay-it-forward ticket, helped with the million things needed on the day, or were part of the gorgeous cast. We're gathering audience feedback and will share nice comments soon, as well as planning to address any problems anyone had. In the meantime, check out these gorgeous photos from our photographer @oniteevee ID: A series of photographs taken onstage. All have a green curtain backdrop and a mock gold frame around the outside. The first shows the 5-strong cast onstage posing at the end of the show Image 2 is of Mx Peri Mint, a drag king, in black and white makeup. He is wearing a white shirt, black trousers and a black corset. One arm stretches forward, while his face shows an imploring expression Image 3 is of Mr Brake Down, a trans man and drag king of White/Romani heritage, next to a masculine presenting person from the audience. Both are facing forward with their arms bent in a dance. Brake wear a black shirt and khaki trousers with brown braces/suspenders. He has short curly grey hair and glasses. The audience member has a brown cowboy-style hat on, and wears an orange jumper. They are heavily tattooed. Both look happy. Image 4 is of Ewan McPherson, a middle aged white man, dressed comfortably in jeans and a light grey jumper. His eyes are wide open, and he is speaking into a microphone. His expression conveys energy and a sense of being deeply engaged in his performance. One arm is raised in a dramatic flourish. Image 5 is of My Brake Down again, this time wearing the hat seen in image #3 on the audience member. He is holding up a floral garland in the colours of the trans flag. Image descriptions continued in comments.

Who are you calling Tiny? I can't describe what a beautiful experience it was to go down to London at the end of last year to do my own spin on Tiny Tim for the Muppet Christmas Carol homage. Not only did the audience take to the act exactly like they did in my head (which never happens!). Not only did I get to perch in the wings and watch some truly phenomenal performers doing their thing. But best of all, I got to experience feelings of such incredible love and belonging and community from cast, crew and audience alike. (Plus, I got to sleep all night with a big orange cat on my back. BONUS.) Thanks a million to @daisthehale for having me along, to my muppet parents @hunter_gatherer_drag and @natfunni , and to everyone - too many to tag! - who was part of this incredible making of magic. Thanks to @_he_photos for all these photos, except for the Cratchit family portrait, where credit goes to @jenny_graphic ID: the first 4 photos show me, a white drag king in my 40s, performing onstage as Tiny Tim in the Muppet Christmas Carol. I am wearing check trousers, a white shirt, brown waistcoat and a burberry scarf. I have a pair of vintage wooden crutches. In the first, I am on my knees with the crutches crossed in front of me, with a distraught expression. In the second I am standing with my weight on my crutches and one leg kicking out. I have green sparkly flippers on my feet. In the third I am standing, leaning, and gesturing to the audience. In the 4th, I am standing smiling and looking relaxed. Photo 5 is a 'family portrait showing me dressed as Tiny Tim in front of another white drag king dressed as Kermit/Bob Cratchit and the performers dressed as Miss Piggy/Mrs Cratchit and two Piggy Cratchit sisters. The final photo shows the audience of the show, smiling as they are showered with fake snow. #MuppetChristmasCarol #DragKing #TinyTim
