Europe’s fiercest drag battle IS HERE!
After 8 weeks of competition, and with over 100 of London & the UK’s finest drag performers, The Divine invites you to the SUPERSIZED grand final of its ground-breaking competition LIPSYNC1000, at the spectacular ‘CLAPHAM GRAND’!
This amazing venue gives a fantastic opportunity for the 20 queer finalists to present themselves in all their finery to a roaring audience of 1200 people on the Grand’s legendary stage, fit of a King, Queen or Thing!
The qualifying drag artists get FOUR MINUTES each to strut their stuff before being judged on their look, their lip-sync, and their overall star power. Who will join the LIPSYNC1000 hall of fame this year?
Judges from entertainment, journalism and of course the drag scene, will cast their eye over the performers and choose the winner of the coveted LIPSYNC1000 crown and £1000 cash prize! Additional prizes include gigs with The Divine and really tacky trophies!
Your hosts for the night are the cabaret powerhouse & past winner P.M.B.C plus everyone’s favourite mini-skirted pianist BARBS!
But it’s not just about the money – those who have impressed at LIPSYNC1000 have gone on to have their own shows, and nights, developed at The Divine, they’ve performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Hackney Empire, the MTV Awards and London & Brighton Pride and some have even been on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK – all this off the back of wowing in LIPSYNC1000! So, watch this space for all this year’s future drag superstars.

Now in its NINTH SEASON, and it’s first at The Divine, we introduce new hosts, East London drag icon BARBS and radical former winner, the amazing P.M.B.C.
Held weekly at The Divine, contestants only need to win ONE HEAT to go through to the GRAND FINAL where they will compete alongside 15 other finalists on the fabulous stage of the CLAPHAM GRAND!

The Divine would like for more people to have the chance to enter the LIPSYNC1000 competition.
Because of licensing laws around noise levels,
we need to hold most of our heats in the basement, which we know excludes some people from entering and watching the event.
So far, we have planned one heat on the ground floor which has level access, a stage and ramp.
This is on 1st October. Please get in touch if you have any questions about this.
We recognise that this is a compromise, but our long-term goal is to continue to improve access over both floors of the venue.

The Divine is proud to present WERK IN PROGRESS – a long-running and unique open mic night for all queer artists across all disciplines, presenting new and developing work to a sympathetic and encouraging audience.
The Divine has teamed up with RACHEL PORTER – a celebrated stand-up comedian and member of infamous female-led performance company Figs in Wigs -to showcase London’s newest & wildest performers.
The Divine opens its doors to performers of all kinds; packed to the brim with soon to be superstars and legends. Whether it’s lip-sync, spoken word, live music, live art or stand-up you’re into – we’ve got it covered! 💕
It’s free to watch, no reservations are needed so just turn up early with some mates and grab a table.
