DOWNTOWN is a monthly night in Sketch’s parlour, organised and curated by singer-songwriter and former clown NiCKY with a rotating cast of London queer night-life luminaries and performance icons.
For DOWNTOWN’s debut they’ve invited living legends Ms Sharon Le Grand and Midgitte Bardot to sing around the keys, soundtracked by DJ sets by rock n roll superstar Ms Jeanie Crystal. *NiCKY may open the floor for a post show sing-a-long.

NiCKY is a vital voice in London’s queer performance scene, known for their disarming, emotionally charged songwriting - part torch song, part bedroom synth fantasy. Their second EP 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 was released at Cafe Oto at the end of 2025.
“Ms Sharon Le Grand spat venom, flung her handbag high into the balcony and then demanded it back” - The Times. She’s performed literally everywhere including VFD, The Glory, Shoreditch Town Hall, and starred in critically acclaimed ‘Sound of the Underground’ at the Royal Court.
Midgitte Bardot is the alter ego of Tam Reynolds. Their sell out South Bank show Shooting From Below just closed its doors on Saturday and will tour later this year. Everything drags: time, language, wigs, their face and their heels.
Lead woman of rock and roll band Jeanie and the white boys comes through to give a DJ set full of Retro sounds and heavy bass lines, get ready to sweat!
A new era is dawning! of pink chiffon and silver boots, confessions are to be made, but one can never move forward without looking back! Come with us on this musical stampede through the many eras and few errors of the untouchable queen of pop!
