I can tell with all these it may mean creating layered pricing models, alternative access points, community-funded experiences, collaborative economies, digital participation systems, or new forms of ownership that allow audiences to feel invested beyond just consumption. Because I believe and also a bet that the future of culture will not belong solely to those who create the best work, but to those who build the most moated and intelligent systems of access around it which leads back to distribution…. 🫶

I wish I was here to teach. It can be fun and frustrating btw… not teaching, but physics. Physics is one of the sweetest subjects ever. And one thing it teaches is that not everything needs to be released immediately; sometimes the highest-leverage move is to hold back and refine, knowing when to accelerate and when to compress time. When used well, velocity gives you an unfair advantage, allowing you to test ideas before others even commit to one.

And at this stage sustainability is no longer a concern, because it becomes visible you’ve engineered a system where value continues to flow with or without you.

My growing love for monochromatic images is becoming something I need to pay attention to. Still, I don’t want it to pull me away from the essence of what I’m trying to do. I could just share a picture and tag it “April dump” or maybe I should do my own April Fool… we’ll see. 🫣 I want to give you an assignment, by the way 👀 I’m working on mine, and I’ll ask you again in 30 days: What is the one bet, on myself, on others, or on the world, that I keep refusing to make, and what is that refusal costing me every day I delay?

Earning it forward also changes how you think about return. Most times the return is not always immediate, and it is rarely linear. It shows up as reputation, and trust built over time, as access to better opportunities, as being invited into rooms where decisions are made. It shows up in the strength of the network around you. Over time, this creates a form of cultural equity that cannot be easily replicated or bought. Ultimately, earning it forward is about refusing to be a dead end or a close. It is choosing to be a connection, between people, between industries, between local scenes and global stages. It is understood that your role in culture is not just to create or consume, but to circulate, connect, and compound. When done at a high level, it transforms you from an individual contributor into a force that shapes trajectories.

When Data, Attention, and Time work together, culture becomes less accidental or guesseork and becomes engineered as the outcome is much more predictabke. Because with data you identify what works, while attention scales it, and time then solidifies it. 🙏

Did this on Easter, figured if I didn’t share it now, I might never. My first video this year… hopefully not my last. Thanks to @sewapelumi_ for the push and @wisdom_ayodele for the edit! See y'all at the top! 🫶

1/1: Caught up with a friend and ended up having an excellent conversation with @ayoolaart He is a proof that excellence is built on depth and consistency. 1/2: Not a random picture. I genuinely loved the piece and what it represents… 1/3: Showed up with @hair.spital for Homecoming (her first time). 1/4: A practical conversation around culture, how it’s actually done and what makes things work, featuring real case studies from @graceladoja & @irenettya . 1/5: There aren’t many people I reference like this, but hers stands out. She’s built solid infrastructure for the ecosystem, and I had to thank her for it. These are the people who laid the groundwork for the global export of African creatives. 1/6: I didn’t have my pen and paper, but my long-term memory was fully switched on. I’ve already started acting on the assignments given. I’ve been learning from her for years, and I tapped in again here…S/O @irenettya 1/7: Couldn’t resist going beyond the usual “hi, nice to meet you” with my leader. She’s a powerhouse, for real, consistently doing excellent work with @streetsouk 1/8: I think I caught the polo bug, thanks to a few of my leaders who invited me to the club a while back. Since then, I’ve developed a real interest in it. 1/9: I’ve always wanted to skate but never had the chance growing up, it was considered risky. I tried building something in that space years ago. Then I found Dencity, and seeing someone already pushing it means I can simply support the movement, especially one empowering girls who skate. S/O @blessing_ewona 1/10: The first time I met @danielbuezo I was struck by his faith. In a time of global turbulence, I’ve found even more reasons to plug into the mission he’s building through @kidsofimmigrants . 1/11: They call him Smallie, but he’s not small at all 😂 1/12: Homecoming football tournament. I love football, I’ve played it, and I still do. It was once a serious path for me, so I had to capture this. 1/13: This is an ode. It should be framed, honestly. A reminder that you can support the brands you love without cutting corners. #SAYNOCOUNTERFEITPRODUCTS

And finally, thinking you’re early when you’re just unprepared. Being early is only an advantage if you’re ready to hold what comes with it. If not, you become the example someone else studies before doing it better… While I may not have a cover title, I hope I'm able to pass a clear message with the ability to step onto the field with full knowledge of what the field can take from you, and to play within that knowledge without letting it diminish you or the game. 🫶

When we apply these benchmarks honestly, bet, the conversation will def change. Not to forget, a culture that wants to lead cannot be satisfied with virality or chasing vain metrics but must engineer and strive for inevitability. And to add, culture is graded whether we acknowledge it or not. The market grades it. Capital grades it. Time grades it. The only question is whether we are bold enough to grade ourselves before the world does.
