Amazing Grace Ladoja MBE 🇬🇧🇳🇬

This is the HOMECOMING CONCEPT SPACE. Over the last eight months, I’ve been working on this pretty much every day. I’m so blessed and thankful to God for allowing me to deliver this vision that I’ve had in my head for almost a decade. I grew up in an era of concept stores like Bond International, Colette, Opening Ceremony, Alife, DQM and so many more, space where you could just go and be at the centre of all things culture. The staff were with the heartbeat of the city, and culture in all areas from music, art, fashion, design were housed there. My ever first job was in JD Sports when I was 15. I was/ am a “sneakerhead”. I worked at Crooked Tongues in Soho, this was before Hypebeast even existed. I was around, I was able to be immersed myself in street culture. I worked for Supreme for 10 years. There are so many parts of my life where this culture is so important to me. To channel all of that and able to bring this energy to Lagos, Nigeria and finally be HOME. It’s a dream@come true. I just want to thank everyone that helped me bring this vision to life. @alexsossah for getting the idea out of our head and on paper and being the best creative partner! @teezee for finding the space in 2020, crazy! Jack or doing about 50 iterations of this project deck and helping me keep the vision alive and constantly refining it. @sumbi_o , for supporting me with this space and project and being an amazing mentor and encouraging me when I felt everything else was falling apart, I LOVE YOU. SEUN, who without being part of this project, it would not have happened. The most diligent, hardworking, excellent professional I’ve ever worked with . God bless you, @thormars_ltd and your whole team. To Eilis & Angel for keeping this project on track and afloat. This time last week, sitting with my friend @irenettya and reflecting on the last 20 years of my life, I realised that every step, every learning, every decision led me exactly here. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, at the exact time I’m supposed to be here. It also reminded me that I need to speak more, share more. More than anything, it reminded me to live in gratitude ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to @doverstreetmarketlondon for the launch of our HOMECOMING x Nike TN. It felt so special to be home. I spent years walking around DSM with Sharma , window shopping in my late teens which help me develop my all black style, we went to all the in store events, meeting people, dreaming. So to be there for my own launch felt ultra special. Thank you Rik, Dickon and Gerald and the DSM team. Thank you to my darling sister @irenettya for such a beautiful conversation for all your support and gassing me up! , and to everyone who has supported this journey. Happy 5th Birthday Zacai! I can’t believe my baby is 5 😂. Honestly I think God for him everyday my pure JOY! My favourite part of my life is being Zacai’s mum. Zacai actually planned every detail of his party because he wanted his friends to have fun 😭! We had a time! ❤️
