A few weeks ago we said goodbye to Mum. This weekend she would have turned 82. I wanted to share what she gave me, and what she taught me about how to live.
Dear Mum,
You taught me that life was never meant to be played safe.
You taught me that courage sometimes just means getting up, putting your lipstick on, doing your hair, and facing the world again believing something good might still be waiting.
You taught me independence. That dreams are worth chasing. That when things don’t work out you simply start again. That tomorrow is always a new day.
You taught me to believe in people. To believe in hope. To laugh often. To try anyway. To say why not? more than why?
And most of all, you taught me that life is supposed to be an adventure.
I also know life wasn’t always easy for you. You carried pain for most of your life that many people never saw. But what stays with me isn’t the struggle - it’s the way you chose to live despite it. You stayed positive. You stayed curious. You stayed full of love. You trusted. And you never stopped encouraging me to go after everything I dreamed of.
You were always on my side. Always believing. Always lifting me higher.
Spending the last months of your life with you was one of the great privileges of mine. The laughs we shared in that time will stay with me forever.
The last thing you said to me feels less like goodbye and more like something you were passing on: Never stop the adventures.
I won’t Mum. You made sure I have the strength to keep going. And I know you’re still with me.
Love you always,
Scott
The adventure continues.
Whoa! The numbers are in. The Frozen Ground is back!
#7 on Netflix Global Most Watched Movies last week.
Top 10 in 21 countries.
3.4 million audience in 7 days.
A few years ago it also hit #1 on Netflix US.
So proud and grateful to everyone who helped make it against incredible odds.
POW!👍🙏😃
Really thrilled to see the first film that I wrote and directed, The Frozen Ground, still getting stronger and stronger - it just crossed 90% audience reviews on Amazon Prime in the US! And 69% give it 5-Stars!
If you haven’t seen it, check it out. I wish more of these films were made. It stars Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens who according to critics, all give some of the best performances of their careers, alongside an amazing supporting cast.
Excited about what I’m working on next and will share more when I can!

Happy Halloween! Super excited to see my film, THE TANK released on Netflix across Scandinavia this week and hit “#5 IN FILMS” in its first days.
Massive thanks to everyone who supported and helped get this low budget film made under some seriously challenging times during Covid.

And thanks Angel at FANGORIA and Megan at BLOODY DISGUSTING, LLC for the great reviews…
“If you’re into practical FX, you’re in for a treat. Academy Award-winning special effects supervisor Richard Taylor and his team at Weta Workshop created the creature effects for this one. This time, Taylor and Co are unleashing ferocious beasts on an unsuspecting family, and it’s a whole lot of fun. Yowza! We’re getting a bit of Jurassic Park vibes with a touch of Jaws as the unseen beast chomps away below the waist and just out of frame.” Angel Melanson @horrorgirlprobs FANGORIA
The Tank Review – by Meagan Navarro - bloody-disgusting.com…
“When the climactic 3rd act arrives and Walker finally shows his hand, The Tank roars to life. Early foreshadowing gives way to a thrilling confrontation that spotlights great work by Academy Award-winning special effects creative director Richard Taylor and VFX studio Weta Workshop. An extended horror sequence brings welcome intensity, evoking an amphibious reinterpretation of an iconic Aliens scene. So much about Walker’s narrative structure and stylistic choices evoke ’80s creature features. On that, The Tank delivers. But, the inspired third act featuring great creature design and effects set in a subterranean aquatic space, and highlighted by impressive camerawork, ensures that The Tank ends with a strong finish.”

I met Colin Farrell for 4 hours, when I was casting The Frozen Ground. He was fascinated and astounded at all the years of work, interviews and in-depth research I had done, to write the screenplay.
He was originally attached to play the cop opposite Dakota Fanning, but Total Recall timings ended up clashing. Those roles were eventually played amazingly by Nic Cage and Vanessa Hudgens.
When The Frozen Ground became #1 Most Watched Movie on Netflix USA, as the writer (and director) I didn’t even receive 1cent, while their business was booming, due to the films and series they stream. How can that be fair and a sustainable future for anyone who works hard and creates?
Colin’s a truly great guy and phenomenal actor. He’s also got us writers backs.
Please, all actors support the WGA. You’re next in the negotiations.
Thanks, Colin - for all your incredible support!
