So happy to share my new album, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘪 𝘚𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘝𝘰𝘭. 2 with you :) Brought up in a household surrounded by mushroom-inspired objects and art, it never crossed my mind to question the fact that this maybe wasn’t the norm. It was however always the norm for us, as my late father was a pioneering mycologist and this was just the way that it was and the way it had always been. I feel lucky looking back. Today I’m releasing the second instalment of music I’ve written inspired by the world of fungi. It’s been so special and quite profound to pay tribute to my dad and his work through my music these past couple of years. I really loved making it and I’m excited to share it with you. Loved playing fiddle on @mikaeladavis new record, Graceland Way out today🌹❤️ it’s a sonic beauty. Such an honour to spend the day with her, @johnleeshannon and @danhhorne at his stunning studio in Los Angeles last year :)

I’ve been fortunate these last few years to have spent a lot of time playing fiddle/writing string arrangements and singing on other people’s records. Whether it’s in person or remote, I love being in this zone. Thank you so much to all the listeners of 𝘋𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘦 so far 💞 full album, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘪 𝘚𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘝𝘰𝘭. 2 out April 10th. A wee bit about the making of. The bulk of this album was recorded in late November, at the beautiful Heriot Toun studio in the Scottish Borders. This was the same room where we recorded Vol. 1 and for continuity it just felt right to make this album in the same space, with the same acoustics and same magic feel in the air. It’s a really special place. After this session, back in the US more special guests came into the mix. Really love how the whole album came to life 🍄‍🟫💕 excited to share on April 10th! Vol. 2 was made possible by being awarded the very generous Massee Arts Grant from the British Mycological Society - so grateful. Pre-order & listen links in bio 😘
