I took a lot of group photos at the #grammys2026 but none as special as this moment I’ll never forget – when @alanconducts and @gpchuck race down the aisle, and half of @alarmwillsound ’s membership reacts to having been selected in the category Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, for their recording of @donnachadennehy ’s sublime hour-long piece Land of Winter. Congratulations on the recognition – both for this magnificent piece of Donnacha’s – dedicated to Alan and also nominated for Best Contemporary Classical Composition – and for so many years of amazing work. A pair of upcycled Grammy fits The fashion was deliberate and so was the protest. Though I was surprised at how they got read together, as @alanconducts and I were looking cute on the red carpet. Tonight at @berlinerfestpiele I get to see Bark of Millions with @alanconducts (my third time and his first!) and I’m just dumbfounded that it’s the eight-year anniversary of our first dance to “Snakeskin Cowboy” at Bark’s spiritual ancestor, the 24 Decade History of (American) Popular Music. This photodump [1/2] captures eight years along a particularly rich thread in the tapestry of richness that is our life together, and of course a few of the many moments we’re apart.
