For Chelsea in Bloom 2026, @hamishpowell unveils an immersive floral installation at Cafe Linea, transforming our façade into a dreamlike cosmic landscape inspired by the wonder and imagination of outer space.
Installed from Saturday evening and launching on Sunday, the installation coincides with the opening of our @pomellespritz terrace from Saturday, bringing together sculptural florals, vibrant colour, and a sense of playful escapism on the King’s Road 🪐

For the Burning Mirror Foundation Launch Dinner, we had the privilege of working with London based floral artist @hamishpowell . Hamish’s floral sculptures are themselves living, ephemeral artworks that act in dialogue with contemporary and historic visual and architectural discourses.
One of the fundraising initiatives for the Launch supported an @artfund grant contributing to the acquisition of an eighteenth century floral still-life (details have not yet been publicly announced). Hamish’s floral artworks reference this painting whilst expressing its movement, life, and handling of time in a novel, embodied form. They speak to the power of art to move — not only to inspire but to articulate itself in time, space, and material across centuries and geographies.

@hamishpowell interpreting stories through his untamed botanical artistry 🍇
For the unveiling of our 2026 Mourvèdre Rosé at The Great Garden Show @thenewtinsomerset , the multidisciplinary floral artist created a gorgeous statement piece inspired by the metamorphosis of the Babylonstoren logo.
Layered with abundant grape clusters and sculptural branches, the work reflected the stories of our logo and rosé alike: rooted in the soil, abundant in nature and beautifully ethereal.

“I think I enter a flow state when I’m placing all the ingredients,” says Hamish. “That’s why I love my work, I’m constantly overthinking everything all the time but as soon as I get to start making, then it’s total silence and I’m in the zone.”

І час від часу з’являються у квіткових дизайнах, додаючи їм ажурності, невагомості й легкої сюрреалістичності.

Найчастіше флористи працюють із кульбабами та козельцями. Рідше — з артишоком, осотом, скередою, нечуйвітром, розторопшею та іншими представниками родини айстрових. І нехай їхня ефірність не вводить в оману: за умови правильного збору, сушіння/стабілізації та делікатного «постпродакшену» ці форми виявляються напрочуд стійкими, іноді навіть витривалішими за деякі класичні сухоцвіти.

Їхня декоративність давно вийшла за межі камерних флористичних експериментів. Насіннєві кульки з’являються у комерційних оформленнях, галереях сучасного мистецтва та навіть інсталяціях для дизайн-тижнів🤍

Показовий приклад — робота «Я бажаю» голландської мисткині Гільде Тріп, представлена в амстердамській Rademakers Gallery. Полотно з кульбаб (слайд 8️⃣) оцінюється у €3500, тоді як вартість більш масштабних полотен сягає €12500.

Ще один свіжий кейс — скульптурна інсталяція мексиканської дизайн-лабораторії Sten Studio на Milan Design Week 2026, доповнена композиціями з козельців (слайди 1️⃣7️⃣–1️⃣8️⃣). Їх створив один із флористичних трендсеттерів Геміш Пауел.

А польський митець Конрад Юсцінський готує з вивернутих насіннєвих головок козельців цілі експозиції, які можна побачити у познаньській Molski Gallery (слайди 1️⃣0️⃣–1️⃣1️⃣).

An evening in support of arts and culture across the United Kingdom.
Founded by Quaid Childers, the Burning Mirror Foundation (@BurningMirrorFoundation ) launched with an inaugural white tie dinner in support of the National Art Collections Fund (@ArtFund ). Set in one of London’s most historic private members’ clubs, the Launch Dinner brought together collectors, patrons, and supporters of the arts in celebration of philanthropy and cultural stewardship.
A deep commitment to the arts sits at the core of Allison Quaid. Fine art has long served as a source of reference, inspiration, and creative exchange, reflected through our artist collaborations, with further projects set to launch in the coming weeks.
