Batch.Space is now Hackney Depot!
From today, you'll start to see us roll out our new Hackney Depot name.
It makes sense, it's already on the side of the building.
This space has always been about our makers and local community, so we'll be continuing to share your stories on our @hackneydepot.community channel (previously @batch.space ). Every two weeks, we'll spotlight one of our makers - the people, projects, and community events that make this place what it is.

Pecha Kucha Night at Hackney Depot
Join us for an evening of fast-paced talks, creative ideas, and good conversation.
We are looking for presenters. If you don’t know the format - it’s a very chill evening of presentations on any subject. Presentations are limited to 20 slides or images, and each slide is shown for a strict 20 seconds.
We’ll be hosting local makers, artists, and residents sharing their stories in the Pecha Kucha format.
20 slides, 20 seconds each. Get involved.

Broadway Movement community classes are back at @hackneydepot THIS SUNDAY!! It’s gonna be a big one with the fabulous @poppydoorbs leading mixed movement from 12pm and then at 1pm legend @angeloappa is back taking a handstand and calisthenics class!!
As always, the depot is open from 11am until 6pm with a full calisthenics rig for you to train however you’d like to! We’ll also have food and drinks for sale throughout the day + pool and table tennis if you just feel like coming to hang out with the community!!
Free entry for all and open to all levels of experience!! Bring your friends and join us out of the cold!!!

It's exciting to see our space come to life as @kibu.family hosted its first @kibu_club Club Workshop last month. They brought together parents and children for an afternoon of building and discovery here at Hackney Depot.
Workshops like these are exactly what our space was built for: a creative hub where we can connect communities with ideas and hands-on development.

Last month was a special one at Hackney Depot.
@charlestrevelyan opened its doors for their bi-annual open studio, @nyn.space hosted a documentary screening and yoga session, and we welcomed @davstewart as our newest resident. @annacofone ran inspiring hair and self-care workshops to support visually impaired members of the community.
@BroadwayMovement took over the Depot with a series of movement workshops and classes, and @go.east.vintage filled the space wall-to-wall with vintage treasures at their bi-weekly markets. @libertyr0se hosted sewing workshops over the weekend.
We love seeing the Depot come alive with so much creativity and we can’t wait to see what you’ll host next.

The studio will be holding its annual open studio this week and next, opening on Friday 17th and Friday 24th October between 10am and 5pm. On display will be a series of maquettes and experiments that form an integral part of the studio’s development process. If you’d prefer to attend at another time please DM to arrange an appointment.
