ELECTED! đź’š Yesterday Stoke Newington and Hackney put their trust in us to deliver our wonderful manifesto.
To be joined by my Grandfather, who made Hackney his home many decades ago, was the honour of a lifetime. He’s seen so much change, and he might have just witnessed the biggest yet in this beautiful borough.
I want to thank every candidate, volunteer, everyone who voted for us, my family and friends that supported me. We won’t let you down!
I want to thank MISS MAYOR @zoegarbettgreen , my leader, there just isn’t anyone better for the job than her. @liamhackneygreens , who mentored me after serving Stoke Newington so well since his victory in 2022. My running mates @ifhat.shaheen and @rtegtmeyer2025 and ward organiser and BOSS Madeleine, we smashed it.
Now it’s time to get to work.

Wow, what a few weeks it’s been. Amongst many things I helped finalise our manifesto for Hackney that I’m SO excited about. Had beautiful doorknocking sessions, finally in the light of day. Making my grandad proud with my face in his mail and playing uncle at my dear friend’s wedding.
It’s been tough, but what a life altering experience this has been. So many people in Stoke Newington I speak to now, and I eagerly await the honour to represent them if elected.
Hackney residents want to talk about Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs), so let’s get into it! 🤝
LTNs are one tool that make streets safer and improve air quality, but we know they haven’t delivered fair outcomes everywhere.
The Green Party is hearing Hackney and we have a plan to make LTNs work for everyone.

Gosh… I’m SO PROUD to be a Green - not only am I connecting with so many new people every week - I’m learning about my home, my community, the people I would otherwise walk straight past in the street. One person at a time we’re changing the borough for the better.
Huge shout out to @zoegarbettgreen , @dylanmlaw and @greenpartyzack for amazing and energising speeches at our Hackney Rally - to @hollymoy1 who can convince a lamppost to vote green she’s so skilful, and to @rtegtmeyer2025 , our most dedicated activist who won’t stop until we make history.
