As a trained graphic designer, I chose to go into wedding stationery for people. I love love. Talking to my clients, hearing how they met, how they fell in love, what made them stay in love and want to get married…it is what inspires me each time I create. This wedding was exactly why I do what I do. Madison (the bride) and I just clicked. Endless hours on Zoom, millions of texts, getting to know her lovely mom (who I adore), her wonderful fiancée (also a wonderfully creative and involved voice in the wedding), were all the driving force to make my small part of the wedding real and meaningful. A celebration of love. Combine that with the creative force that is
@smithjamesevents and an iconic theater in Paris? Magic. I am a vendor, but I don’t see myself as a behind the scenes follow directions and produce what I am told kind of stationer. I’m an artist whose job is to bring a love story to life on paper. To make it real. At the end of the day, when the wedding is done, I gain friends that I stay close to, spend time with, plan trips with. It’s real. That is what makes me good at my job - the client staying human and not just a goal for publication or me being tagged in a reel with lots of engagement. Love and am very grateful for all of that. But what drives me is an authentic bringing to life of a love story between two people - then I do my part to make that a paper and more celebration for their family and friends that sticks in their memories as a core experience forever.
