Objects of Heartbreak is the film that got me back into drawing, and then painting this past year. It’s been doing a low key festival run but I’m really working to bring it in installation form to NYC this year. Last year was so hectic that I didn’t really take the time to share all that I was up to. ‘Hypochondriac’ was a beautifully intimate project that took over a year to make, but when it released, I was being pulled in too many directions to really take the time to share my thoughts on the project. Now, less than 6 months later, it already feels like a time capsule 🥲 Silhouettes and shadows were a big throughline for this music video. We intentionally started out with a lot of soft and warm daylight shots, then transitioned into dusky blues. I edited it myself and punished myself with the worst , most chaotic Premiere timeline of my life and I vow to never edit split screens manually like this ever again. But it was a fun project and even more fun to make things with friends! Thank you @robert.cauble and @hunjiya for the wild ride 👻 Also huge shoutouts to @camthecolorist for taking on this monster of a project 🤠 he is freshly based in NYC now for all my nyc film friends!

<Please Verify Your Humanity (당신의 인간성을 확인해주세요)>, 3-channel interactive media installation, 2024 I want to extend my deepest thanks to those who came to view my work at the <Gather and Scatter> exhibition at Insadong Kote. For over two years, I struggled to figure out where to go from my filmmaking practice, and this year has been one of endless discovery as I took my first foray into web-based work, AI art, and data-driven projects. This is merely the first iteration of <Please Verify Your Humanity> and I’m looking forward to taking my learnings from this exhibit to improve upon the project and bring it back to the public in its more polished, final form! Thank you to Insadong Kote and their staff for being wonderful hosts and providing immeasurable support for this exhibit. It was also a honor to be able to exhibit alongside the other media artists and their works. Hello! On 10/4 I had the opportunity to participate in an AI x Art Hackathon hosted by the AI Art Research Center at Seoul National University. We had 8 hours to come up with an artwork that incorporated generative AI while taking a critical lens to the relationship between humans and AI. We were honored to be awarded Grand Prix by the jury for <Lingua AI>, a web-based interactive installation that visualizes how human language evolves over time through ongoing interaction with AI. 안녕하세요! 지난 10월 4일, 서울대학교의 인공지능 예술연구센터가 주최한 AI x 예술 해커톤에 참가할 기회가 있었습니다! 저희는 8시간이 주어졌으며, 인간과 AI의 관계에 대한 비판적 시각을 바탕으로 생성 AI를 활용한 예술 작품을 만들어냈습니다. 👾AI와 지속적인 상호작용을 통해 인간의 언어가 어떻게 진화하는지를 시각화한 웹 기반 인터랙티브 설치 작품인 <Lingua AI>가 최우수상을 수상하였습니다! 🏆
