Come celebrate the conclusion of a 10 week study of p☆rnographic pasts, surveilled digital states, and cyberspace futures! Through a collective examination of community research reports, social media cultural criticism, sci-fi films, and s$x worker art, students have deepened one another’s understanding of digital wh☆re struggle including shadowbanning, the broligarchy, femmebot heartbreak, and much more. Now, join us for a showcase of our Wh☆retopias. Using performance, installation, visual media, and language, we’ll collectively imagine cybers$x futures in the interest of liberation for all. Because to paraphrase José Esteban Muñoz’s Cruising Utopia: “Wh☆reness is not yet here.” ✦ Hosted by @tinahornsass ✶ Saturday June 6, 1pm-6pm ✦ Cash Machine, 3305 Glendale Blvd ✶ Free with RSVP (or sugar us!) - link in bio!

What’s wrong with noise? Can we use sounds as a way to build sonic textures without having the pressure to create music? Where could that experiment lead us? @crashingwavy taught Poetics and Protocols of Sampling, and then wrote a chronology of their class, sharing more about his proposal to study and experiment together while creating an 'expanded field' of musical sampling. 🔗 Read the blog post - link in bio!
