Lot of downtempo bits across jazz, soul, r&b, modern rap (Sam Gendel, Jasmine Myra, Ayzon, Casisdead, Tyler Daley, Jalen Santoy, James Massiah) some new bits from friends Lexx, Apiento under their Leisure Dub monikor, another new thing from Lexx flipped by homie Jamma D and old faves from Me’Shell Ndegocello (playing here), a Common edit. Then some fresh new deep, spiritual and soulful house from Ben Hixon, Jay Sound, Musclecars, Earls Booom, Los Hermanos, Mathew Bandy and classics from Larry Heard and Daphne.

I have to say in my 25 years plus of DJing this set and party was up there as one of my favourite. Feel very privileged to flex the whole day solo for 6.5 hours and it sold out too! It was my 3rd Giant Steps set and my 2nd time at The Old Baths and this room is one of the most beautiful, spiritual rooms i have the fortune to play records in. 💫🙏🕊️

ahead of the double bill headline show on 19/06 from Nathan Haines 🎷 and a new band from Ibiza, The Illusions. Nathan will have his original band and heads from his time living in London late 90’s / early 2000’s onboard including vocalist Vanessa Freeman. The forthcoming Illusions LP is killer with influences across funk, soul, r&b and hip hop. I’ll be DJ support on the night.

We met years ago at Secretsundaze and i’ve been following his journey ever since. He is super passionate about soulful music particularly house and deep house as the name suggests but also very inspired by R&B and soul. I respect Arths consistency and dedication and really wanted to give him the opportunity to connect the NTS audience 💫

Can’t say how much i enjoyed hosting this session on the music and career of this icon. I bought my first Larry Heard record in 94’ and he’s been a constant musical presence, inspiration and comfort ever since. 🙏
Many thanks to 180 Studios listening room and Alex Flowers for having me. The first of the 2 back to back 90 minute sessions i did was recorded for the youtube channel.
Was the first time i’d ever presented or talked in front of a group like that before so was a little nervous but really happy how it went. Hopefully more soon!
