Had the *pleasure* of capturing BTS for "Erotic City" by @lonesome.drift.er and hosted with @janelle_gramling at Tooth and Nail Studio. Please join us on Friday, February 9th @ 6 pm to celebrate queerness, anti-censorship, and sensuality. ID: Bill, an artist, faces the camera as he stands between two sculptures. The wooden puppets are in soft focus, highlighting their maker in the center. Two ceramic phalluses stand erect on a table full of art supplies and frames. Bill and Janelle hold an embroidered pennant with the words "Glory Hole" sewn in the center. A close-up of an unassembled wooden puppet and pink paint. Bill's hands are tattooed with the words "soft" and "lore" as he handles a jigsaw.

2022 concluded 6 years of military service šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡² It's impossible to say everything that enlistment has meant to me in a post. Being a combat medic is the longest job I've ever had. I've seen parts of the world, for better and for worse, that most people will never see. It's been an honor and a privilege to give my energy to serve others. Now it's my time to do a bit of healing and self discovery. It's a new chapter that I'm still figuring out how to begin. Thank you to everyone who I met along the way. You know who you are, and I carry you with me, always. Photography by @mikailadusenberryphoto ID: An outdoor portrait of me in an Army uniform. My deployment patch and flag face the camera. Snow covers the trees behind me.

GLORY HOLE 10.17.25-10.19.25 • Arts organizing, performing creative labor, curating, and building community AS endurance art. A true feat of strength by everyone involved, this three-day-long performance art festival was a study in making art ā€œby any means necessary.ā€ Hosted in MKE at @yours_truly_studio and in collaboration with @saintjawncinema , over 25 artists joined me in bringing a gimmicky ā€œ24 hours total of performance artā€ free of charge to whoever could attend. Many artists collaborated across performances and attended each others’ time slots. The backdrop of the show was a retrospective exhibition of my works from 2020-present, showcasing the art I had made in tandem with accessing gender affirming care. • The show posed three questions: 1. What makes artwork ā€œtrans artā€ā€”is it content referring to the politics, anatomy, history, personhood, and thoughts of trans people by trans people, or is it simply *any* art made by a trans creator? 2. What kind of art would people make if there was no barrier to entry and there was no threat of censorship? 3. Where does laboring to create and facilitate art end and endurance-based performance art begin? These questions were explored not only by the conceptual and physically demanding qualities of the performances and art installed at the event, but by the ludicrous hours during which the event was held (6pm Friday-6am Saturday, and then picking up again 6 hours later), the moving-mountains level of effort it took me, the artists, the journalists promoting the show, and the helpers to get this show out of my brain and into opening night in exactly 22 days. • Documented by the talented @ghost.fancier this moment passed by in the blink of an eye but the memories remain. Emily captured over 4,000 images and videos of the event in under three days and heroically edited the photos for artists to view privately (if you performed and have not gotten access to your photos, email me). Emily and I will be working on self-publishing a collection of the photos, alongside interviews with participants later this year or early 2027. This is in the early stages so hang tight! • DM me to add/remove photo tags

🌈✨ This past weekend (July 18–20) we gathered for the annualĀ Queer Campout — a fundraiser for gender-affirming care, and a celebration of queer joy in the great outdoors. We tie-dyed, woodblock-printed commemorative shirts, played group games, swam in the quarry, cooked over the fire, and slept under the stars — all while helping someone access lifesaving medical care. Former camp counselors and first-time campers alike came together to create an accessible, affirming outdoor experience. Safe spaces like this are vital — where LGBTQIA+ people can connect with natureĀ andĀ with each other. I’m so grateful to have attended my first year and to have documented these moments of community and care. If these photos or the mission inspire you, please consider donating or followingĀ @queercampout to support the next campout in August šŸ•ā¤ļø Special thanks to @campgroundwizard for having me on as an Art Assistant + friend šŸøšŸ§™šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø #queercampout #genderaffirmingcare #queerjoy #lgbtqiašŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ #fundraiser #milwaukeephotographer

A behind-the-scenes look at the moon bench build — a collaboration between me (Production Designer for film/TV) and @lonesome.drift.er , an artist and handyman who always shoots for the stars. We usually skip the documentation part, but I tried to catch bits of the process this time around: five-ish days of planning and building in between life and other jobs. Constructed with leftover lumber and open space at @themilwaukeemakerspace , velvet from a UWM art grad's trash (thanks, @th.romer ), and a handful of Home Depot runs for the rest. Bill handled the surge sewing and most of the fabrication. I helped shape the vision and hold stuff steady. Always a joy to dream, build, and problem-solve with this guy. 🌈 Scenes from Big Queer Ball, May 30 — a night radiating with joy, movement, expression, and radical love. Together, we raised nearly $4,000 to support @sun__seekermke in their mission to fund a crisis response van for trans folks in our city. Endless thanks to everyone who showed up, showed out, and filled the dance floor with pride, power, and collective care. šŸ’ƒšŸ¾šŸŖ©šŸ’…šŸ½ Big love to @brilerose and @livedandy for hosting, and to all the lovely vendors and local businesses who donated raffle goods — your generosity made the night shine. Thank you for having me capture the magic and my bff @lonesome.drift.er for letting me help with the moon backdrop šŸŒ (BTS video to come!) #pride #queerphotography #milwaukee
