No big announcements, but never gonna stop thanking everyone who made the store and venue possible for us and the boys.
Actually, there’s one biz in back that always has a great deal of our gratitude, and it’s Tom and Liz at @pourincmke – a mobile bartending and event company.
This was never our intended career, so we had a ton to learn. Any time we needed to discuss “how things work” in the industry, they were there to help as collaborators and pals.
I definitely don’t think we’d be where we’re at today without their guidance and people.
So thanks to Pour, and thanks to you!

I’m not sure there’s a more versatile space in Milwaukee than The Dandy.
The first time I had an opportunity to check it out, I was honestly shocked. The space wasn’t just stunning, it also felt so different from other event spaces I’d visited. Since that first experience, I’ve been fortunate to return for holiday parties, an art class, and a work conference; all of which the space accommodated perfectly.
What also makes The Dandy stand out is the vintage retail store attached to the venue. It’s truly a one of a kind business in what I believe is a one of a kind neighborhood.
Washington Heights is a character filled pocket of Milwaukee that locals can’t get enough of. The shops, cafes, and restaurants lining Vliet St. (including The Dandy) are special and worth your patronage.
If you happen to stop by one of these gems and find the neighborhood charming enough to stick around, let me know. Maybe we can check out some real estate!

His claim to fame in the wood-art world is that he uses 100% reclaimed wood, but furthermore has NEVER stained or painted a piece of wood in his life - creating an additional challenge within his work to find all the colors he uses in his pieces.
His relentless passion for his craft and “delusionally optimistic” spirit is seen daily within his content, and he inspires millions around the world to not only pursue the greatest versions of themselves, but the simple daily reminders of just waking up with gratitude and optimism every day.

When it’s investing in the house vs. investing in the business, the house often loses - both in time and money. But the silver lining is you get to stare at a wall until you find the right thing for it, this time from the stylish and friendly @duotone_modern ! SATURDAY, APRIL 25 – We usually miss the annual @westvlietstreet Art Walk on account of a private event, but not this year!
The Vliet-wide event features local artists up and down on our wonderful stretch, and we’ll have 11 displayed, and present, with some LIVE PAINTING(!) in back from 10am to 2pm – scroll through and get to know them!
Just enter through the store – the bar will be open with specials, so come hang out and enjoy these great artists!
There will be a couple prizes too, if that helps!✌🏻

Harley David is a 3D artist, illustrator, and toy designer based in Milwaukee. In his personal work, Harley is heavily influenced by the LGBT community, sculpting original figures that speak to gay history. In 2023, he designed, hand crafted, and sold a limited run of his leather subculture-inspired figure ‘Wild One’. His work has shown in galleries across the Midwest and New York City.
Harley works as a Senior 3D Artist & Animator @zero.studios allowing him to flex his creativity and technical skills for brands like SmartSweets, LaCroix, Pocky, and many more. As a proud Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) alum, he’s had the pleasure of teaching 3D & Animation at his alma mater.

Sam had always wanted to attend a masquerade ball, so that, her a long-standing goth aesthetic and love for antiques, vintage furniture and trinkets were the main inspirations for her wedding to Liam. “It was like a moody gothic masquerade with antique eclecticism”, she said.
The ceremony moved away from a standard format. The day began with the couple doing a ‘first look letters’ where they privately read their vows to each other without looking at each other. Then they turned around for their first look. “One of the most special moments during the planning was writing that letter”, Sam continued, “I wrote a little bit for multiple days leading up to the wedding.”

Message with your preferred day and time, bring a photographer (or DIY), get half off our normal shoot rate — $50 per immediate family, couple, individual, etc.
Beer, wine, soda, and juice will be available to purchase at the bar if you feel so inclined. Our store will be open as well if you’d like to have a look.

- Portrait photoshoots only, please (commercial/video shoots do not qualify)
- Timing preferences must be approved and paid for in advance
- Families: Price is per *immediate* family, no one-cost family reunions, please
- Please keep your shoot to 30 minutes including arrival, setup, shoot time, and exit unless you’d like to add more time
- Photographers: Yes, you can bring multiple clients, but it will still be $50 per client and timing still applies
- There are no refunds once a slot is reserved, transfers not guaranteed if already blocked
