La Fábrica, an abandoned factory on the outskirts of Barcelona became a career-defining manifesto for Ricardo Bofill and a home for his studio (@bofillarquitectura ) and family.
The 31,000-square-meter industrial ruin was transformed in 1973, and stands as a powerful testament to architectural reinvention and the philosophy of adaptive use.
Industrial and residential, sacred and profane, romantic and brutal, green and gray, work and life, La Fábrica its a sculptured totem of contradiction– not a lost cause but a master’s masterpiece.

The glow up on this antique Swiss barn to chalet conversion is mindblowing - swipe left to see the original.
Set in the Swiss mountainous green slopes of central Valais, this alpine pasture chalet was converted from an early 20th-century barn.

Set high against the dramatic topography of Medellín, the Zagal Loft by Gudchoiz (@gudchoiz ) is designed to frame the majestic Andes Mountains through expansive picture windows.
To unite the two-story home into a singular space, the architects dissolved internal boundaries by utilizing strategic voids, a fluid sculptural staircase, and an iconic column of living greenery.
Woven together by a continuous, cleverly inverted material palette of concrete and wood, the dwelling redefines the duplex as a harmonious whole that draws the sweeping landscape deeply inward.

Floating on the misty edge of Lake Derby in northeast Tasmania, this unassuming timber-framed sauna by Licht Architecture (@licht_architecture ) is deeply tethered to the region's wild rhythms.
Approached via a winding forest path, the structure hovers gracefully above the water, clad in raw, site-specific larch and local hardwoods designed to weather naturally.
Inside the softly slatted interior, a wood-burning stove anchors the elemental space while a single framed window transforms the surrounding tree line into a living canvas.

Rooted in a philosophy of juxtaposition, Robert Gigliotti’s (@robertgigs ) Los Angeles home harmonizes thrifted treasures and vintage design within the historic walls of a former police commissioner’s residence.
Rather than feeling like a pristine set, the wood-paneled space is a deeply personal, sensory sanctuary filled with family artifacts and the grounding scent of palo santo.
Approaching the rented property as a dedicated custodian, Robert continuously evolves the interiors to create a living, adaptable timeline of midcentury ease and East Coast nostalgia.

Born from architect Stefania Stera’s (@stefaniastera ) deep childhood roots, La Grintosa is a residence intimately tied to the craggy Sardinian coastline.
The design unfolds in captivating contradictions, blending a severe, almost brutalist edge with organic curves and the local vernacular.
In its continuous dialogue with nature, the home ultimately finds a way to be at once austere and sensual, modern and classic.
