The Self Care Community Centre (SCCC)
From Bali to Jakarta - we’ve landed in the neighborhood of Kemang.
The Self Care Community Centre is an open, modular, and ever-changing space, designed to evolve with its community. More than a store, it is a platform for creativity, growth, and connection.
Crafted from over 11 tonnes of recycled plastic, SCCC is made up of a series of interconnected micro-spaces, including a design store, meditation studio, gallery, listening library, reading room, upcycling workshops, and a medicinal restaurant-bar.

In loving memory of our dear brother and best friend, Chris Stoker.
It’s hard to put into words the impact this man had on my life. I met him when I was 15, 25 years ago, and from that moment, he was someone I looked up to as my big brother. His effortless style, sharp and witty humour, opened my eyes to music, DJing, fashion, culture, friendship, and family. He cared deeply for his friends and made sure we all to grow together.
Back then, in 2002, he was living with Mick Rolfe in Heaton, Newcastle, and I was crashing on the sofa every weekend. “The little boy that lived on my sofa,” he would sing and play on the guitar and just take the piss and have a laugh with me! He was a few years older than me - he took me under his wing and helped shape me into the man I am today.
He was my big brother. We shared a passion for music and fashion and were driven to follow our dreams, which took us to London together, where we started Bad Passion alongside Andy Bainbridge, travelling the world DJing together.
He was there the night I proposed to Hilda.
He was my best man at my wedding.
He was there when my son was born and came all the way to Bali for his first birthday.
He started Space Available with us.
Always there.
Even though we’ve lived on opposite sides of the world for over a decade, he has supported and been there through every important moment in my life.
Stokes was just one of the purest souls. No ego, no agenda - just someone who genuinely loved and cared for his friends while creating special and hilarious memories.
In his last moments, he was still having a laugh; his bravery and positive outlook never, ever faded. He’s an inspiration.
He was loved by everybody whose life he touched. I can’t think of anyone more loved.
It still doesn’t feel real that he’s no longer with us. He was special. He’s left a huge mark in this world.
Thank you for everything, brother.
For the memories, guidance, the laughs, and the brotherhood.
You’re gone, but your light will never fade.
I’ll see you on the other side. ❤️
