The lyrics refer to the dark night of the soul that people encounter when they are forced to examine their pasts. It reminds us of an updated version of the kind of songs we gravitated towards in the Full Collapse era and we are so blessed and so happy to share it with you. Taking Inventory Of A Frozen Lake. From the moment @pwpics announced — in print — that @chelseahodson_ was founding @rosebooks.co and releasing my debut novel, SOMEONE WHO ISN’T ME, the press has been astonishing: from mainstream outlets like @gq @npr @pastemagazine @wmag @ringer and @nylonmag to literary mags like @literaryhub @bombmag THE MILLIONS @powellsbooks blog, @barrelhousemag @_triangle_house @dirt.fyi and @thecreativeindependent the book has taken on a life of its own. Apex Potluck Jam… Did you survive the Potluck for Public Television? Over 150 foodmakers and friends of @foodcurated showed up ready to throw down their dishes in support of our docuseries going national thanks to American Public Television and NYC Media 🪩 Together, we raised close to $15K for our storytelling production in support NYC’s best food makers. It’s been awhile since I’ve felt this much joy buzzing in a room. Genuine connections, through years of building friendships and community. Thank you for believing in our series. THANK YOU! Thank you to my friends for rallying around my no-voice-left-after-tour self and carrying me on their shoulders. There’s no filling Phoebe Bridgers’ shoes but the inaugural version of Sloppy Jeff ( @sloppyjanebandd Haley, Ryan and me) took a stab at “Claw Machine,” meanwhile I partially butchered @johntsungmusic unkillable “Pale Horses” and we capped off with Standing on the Edge of Summer and a few brand new jokes. Lucky devils one and all. @laurajunekirsch got some lovely snaps after donating so much time and talent to the cause. And thank you to the wonderful Liza de Guia for making the world a brighter place for food makers, community builders, public television and the people of the city of New York!

How do you love the world? This is my way 💜 @foodcurated So much emotion is moving through me today: love, hope, joy, exhaustion, happiness, gratitude. There is nothing quite like feeling you have a sense of place in this world. Where you look around the room and see the scrapbook years of memories and accomplishments gathered before you. A time machine peek into the lives you’ve touched, and who’ve touched you deeply in return. I hope yesterday was a chance to really connect, to feel the real pulse of a special community, and to remember what it means to build a NYC-family. Lasting friendships are not hard to come by, they are something you have to feed, grow, tend to, and nourish. Boise, thank you for inducting us in to your vast and secret ways.
