SURPRISE! As the clock strikes midnight on the jet black new year, we want to start the year with a new song, a new tour with @silverstein (starting in 10 days) and a new resolution (to keep writing and hope that more songs follow)! As the world enters 2025 our new track, Taking Inventory Of A Frozen Lake, will start to appear on streaming services. This is the ‘A’ side to White Bikes and we will be launching a vinyl store at 2pm on New Years Day. If you are on our mailing list then you will get an email on Wednesday granting you early access to the store and first dibs on the extremely limited vinyl. If you aren’t, we highly suggest you get on it now! Join up via the ‘wear’ tab on Thursday.net Frozen Lake began life at Steve Evetts’s studio in Jersey on off days when we toured with MCR in 2022. The lyrics refer to the dark night of the soul that people encounter when they are forced to examine their pasts. It reminds us of an updated version of the kind of songs we gravitated towards in the Full Collapse era and we are so blessed and so happy to share it with you.

Tonight we release our first song in 13 years. It’s also our first release in 25 years WITHOUT a record label. That’s 25 years since we set out in a small white van to play basements and VFW Halls — attics, kitchens and back yards — with a bunch of burned CDRs marked in black Sharpie: “Summer Tour ‘99.” In those 25 years, there were so many highway breakdowns, so many emergency rooms, run-ins with the law. So much time laughing in the studio, so many hours huddled together backstage or loading gear in the rain. And yes, 25 years of legal disputes and public blowouts. But now we are free. Free to make our own mistakes. Free to turn this band into whatever we dream it to be, whether we want to make it a collective of rotating members, a small cottage industry, a publishing house, a record label, or just a group of friends still having fun together after all these years. So tonight we step on stage at a tiny independent venue like we would’ve played when we were releasing Full Collapse(23 years ago this week) or again when we released No Devolucion (13 years ago this week). The kind of place we hope we get to keep playing at for as long as they’ll have us. Because no matter the size of the stages we’ve played in those 25 years, we remain— at heart — a small band, a bunch of kids still screaming in a basement. But we’re your small band and we love you. Boise, thank you for inducting us in to your vast and secret ways. Now that we are part of your secret societies we promise to honor the precepts of Boise-dom: kind people(modern hotel), great vintage(no new vintage, graveyard), midmod furniture (weekends on Jefferson) and jam band appreciation (right @karinarykman ?) … yes the @duckclubboise brought us into the shrine, it’s now up to us to earn the fez. Tonight we play Salt Lake City @metromusichall and hang out with family(Brian our first TM/merch person and one of our nearest and dearest). We are so happy to announce the FULL CITY DEVOLUCION tour. This is the one that you have been waiting for! It’s unbelievable that in a three week period between April 10th and May 2nd 2026 - Full Collapse turns 25 years old, A City By The Light Divided turns 20 years old and No Devolucion turns 15 years old. There was no way that we couldn’t celebrate these occasions without something very special. We pride ourselves in the company that we keep and the bands that we tour with, but this time we wanted to challenge ourselves and do something that we have never done before by actually having Thursday open up for Thursday! A quarter of a century since 2001 and we are still doing new things. That is very exciting to us! The show will comprise of three acts. We will open the night with a special set comprised of material from the CITY and NO DEV records. We will then take a break while you are entertained by the dulcet tones and stories of Mr Chris Conley from the legendary Saves The Day before we return with a selection of tracks from FULL COLLAPSE and a best of the rest set, to close out the night. The venues we have chosen for this tour are all ones that mean a great deal to us and occupy a special place in our
hearts. To some we are saying goodbye to them forever and to some we are saying hello for the first time (as a band) but they carry sentimental value from our private lives. They are intimate and they are special and they won’t know what hit them by the time we are done. We should also say that these are all true ‘one night only’ events. We are NOT doing that thing where we are holding additional nights that get released if night one sells out. We will see you in April America. For everyone else, we are working on international dates as we speak. More news soon! The Full City Devolucion pre-sale starts tomorrow and general on-sale is Friday. If you are on the mailing list or Laylo then the pre-sale code will be shared. We cannot wait to celebrate these special birthdays with you!
