Super happy to finally have in my hands a new gorgeous book ‘Exquisite Corpse’ hatched from the beautiful mind of multimedia artist @juliewolfeartist . I contributed an essay in which I reflect on Paul Auster’s ‘Leviathan’ and the related influence of Sophie Calle’s Chromatic Diet series, the invention of synthetic dye in the 19th century, the chemical compounds that drive our industrial food system, and the potency of food and color that shapes both our vision and our waistlines. Carol Bove @guggenheim — this is an artist who does not mess around. I haven’t seen a show that so beautifully complements this space in a very long time. It’s like her work was always meant for Wright’s rotunda.
