Weeks posts
What a week it was for our Cooking for a Cause (CFAC) blitz week down south 💛 For those new to CFAC, Cooking for a Cause is OzHarvest’s signature corporate volunteering experience. Bringing teams together with @ozharvest chefs for a unique team-building session focused on zero-waste cooking skills, while transforming rescued ingredients into gourmet meals for our vulnerable communities. Every corporate volunteering fee helps cover session costs and a donation to help keep our wheels turning. In just 5 days, we achieved so much together: ⭐ 1 incredible kitchen space generously provided by @hobartcrowneplaza @ihghotels . ⭐ 2 talented chefs @damir_mujanic and @lauren__evers ⭐ 6 amazing corporate groups taking part in CFAC sessions (swipe through to check them out!) Insignia Financial, The Sypkes Group, @kpmgaustralia , @woolworths_au , @cumulus_studio and @futagodesign ⭐ 8 first-time OzHarvest volunteers ⭐ 800+ nourishing meals created for the community And this is only the beginning of our journey in Hobart. Having a yellow truck on the road means we can now deliver programs and support communities at both ends of our incredible state. A huge thank you to our fantastic CFAC corporate groups, sponsors, volunteers, and team members who helped bring this week to life. Here’s to many more meals, connections, and impact to come 💛

Did these drawings a while ago back when I worked at Futago. An identity for a new cafe called In good company. Only a couple got used, felt a bit 60s Italian to me. This music is Brazilian but hey, the vibe is right. Just in… Futago report positive feedback on the current In Good Company design. 🤘🤘🤘nice work @futago and @brodi.huh

Spring was a veritable festival of Salons! We ran 12 Salons from September to November 2025 – including one in Castlemaine and a special Student Salon in Sydney. Special sessions meant that we ran 2 Salons in Melbourne and 2 in Sydney. We’ll share the set over the next 2 posts. The Spring series started in Hobart with a lively conversation between Kate Owen and Emily Slevin, led by @nickyswimadams with pics by @nina.hamilton.photo . A few days later we were in Sydney for the first ever Student Salon. This was the brainchild of @rubyamatthews – Ruby loved the Salons and thought the format would work well for student / grad conversations. She was right! Ruby arranged for first year student Honey Amartuvshin to be in conversation with graduate Simone Carmody. @sydney_arch_design_planning hosted this excellent event, which was photographed by Isabella Healion @isabellasatlas Then, back to Tasmania for the Launceston Spring Salon with Gillian van der Schans and Jess Murphy – with @hnorrie convening once again and Bruce Moyle taking the pics. We went back to @msdsocial for another Salon within the space of an exhibition. This time, Belqis Youssofzay joined us within Part of Practice. I ( @_justineclark ) stepped in as her conversation partner when Maryam Gusheh injured herself. (But we got this fantastic pair back together later in Sydney). Stephanie Irving took the pics. In Brisbane we were super excited to welcome Elizabeth Watson Brown back to the Salon stage for a compelling conversation with Georgia Birks, convened by @_lilypepper_ and hosted by @coxarchitecture with photos by @alannajaynemctiernan . In Perth we enjoyed a marvellous conversation between Amanda Hendry and Tiffany Molloy, convened by @suzannehuntarchitect and hosted @architects_wa with pics by Dan McBride. See the next post for the next six Spring Salons.

The Hobart Parlour Spring Salon is on tomorrow night at Brickworks. Two of our favourite peers will be in conversation. Did you know that Kate Owen, the talented graphic designer and founding director of Futago began her career as a graduate architect? She will be in conversation with Emily Slevin who is part of the TERROIR leadership team and working on the innovative Albert Hall extension. Bookings required - via the link in the bio or via the Parlour website. Starts 6pm, hope to see you there! The evening is convened by our Director Nicky Adams on behalf of the Findlay Project. @_parlour

Ecoustic at Aurora Energy by @francis_burne This beautiful new Launceston HQ boasts a warm palette of deep + rich naturals, softened with artistic references by @futagodesign to the north western Tasmanian landscape. Ecoustic Baffles, Ecoustic Ceiling Flats + Ecoustic Sculpt Coffered Deep ceiling tiles adorn ceilings throughout the elegant workplace, maximising acoustic performance by reducing unwanted reverberation.
