Here’s what you need to know before showing up:
⏰ Meet at the base of the Mighty Argo Cable Car at 9:00 AM SHARP
⚠️ Please be on time — if you are late, you will miss out on the gondola ride and group ride to the dig site.
🚫 NO parking at Argo
🅿️ Please park in town, at the skatepark, or at the hot springs lot and pedal over to the gondola base.
⚠️ All volunteers riding the gondola will need to sign a waiver.
🚡 Every registered volunteer gets:

🌮 After the build day, Smokin Yards BBQ is sponsoring a Build-Your-Own Taco Bar at Yard’s Tap House

Meet the manual master of comba! @joe.wallace.boyd is @combaorg ’s machine specialist, and he’s done work on some of the local favorites!
You can find his handiwork at places like Floyd Hill, Maryland Mountain, and the Conifer High School trail system.
He’s been putting in a ton of work here at the VCMP and you can find his mastery on trails like the Gauntlet Gold extension, helped build Craig Lange Memorial Trail, and helped build the Drop Shaft wood bridge.
Be sure to say hi to Joe when you’re out riding the trails!
And finally, I’d like to introduce our beloved Josh and Adam! @pusspuss_on_a_fullsuss and @thetrailferret , have been hands on with damn near every trail in the front range.
These dudes put in more time building trails than most of us do riding them. They’re currently working with @renegadetrailcrew building Panic Switch, but their fingerprints are all over the place.
Country Rock, Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Fire-in-the-hole, all exist thanks to Adam and Josh.
Be sure to say thanks when you see them on the trails!
Meet the masters of the Front Range!

These guys are your Comba Trails Crew that built these sick wood bridges, flyovers, trails, and these are the crews tasked with maintaining the trails and the constant upkeep!
If you’ve ridden Nexus and labyrinth, then you can thank these boys and all the @combaorg volunteers for their incredible work.
These masters of their craft have been working their asses off to make VCMP the incredible trail system that it is - and they’re not finished yet!
VCMP currently has about 14 miles of amazing trails and we’ve got many more miles left to build!! We’re only just past halfway done - not to mention the hiking trails that are coming too!
More trails are coming, and these dudes are absolutely crushing it!
They’re out working the trails daily - be sure to thank them, and feel free to buy them a beer at @yardstaphouse for all their efforts!

Shea, Victor, and Casey make up @flowrideconcepts , and they’ve been professionally designing and building trails for nearly 20 years, and across nearly a dozen states.

You can find the crew operating heavy equipment at the VCMP building some incredible flow and jump lines throughout the park.
Be sure to pre-ride, re-ride, then free-ride, cause these jumps are no joke!

Leigh has been building hand built trails for 3 decades across multiple states!
Most recently Leigh, and his company @renegadetrailcrew , has been putting in a ton of time and work into building some of the sickest hand built trails in the state of Colorado!
We’re super stoked to have Leigh (@quanroo11.lh ) building trails at VCMP!
Give his company a follow, and be sure to pre-ride, re-ride, as free-ride, as Leigh’s trails are high caliber, and not for the faint of heart.

Panic Switch is here! 🔥
Today we officially open the newest trail at Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park.
Built by the legendary @renegadetrailcrew , Panic Switch is a true handbuilt black-diamond experience that follows the natural topography of the mountain. It blends steep chutes, technical rock gardens, wooden ramps, and flyovers with plenty of spicy double-black alt lines for those looking to test themselves.
Huge kudos to the crew at Renegade Trail Crew and @thetrailferret for the vision, craftsmanship, and countless hours of hard work that went into bringing this trail to life. The amount of detail and effort packed into this build is unreal.
Big thanks as well to all of the volunteers and trail supporters who helped dig, move rock, shape trail, and make this project happen. And of course our friends at @rideshimano for funding this trail and three other trails on the mountain.
