Finally posting this after a year and a half! Here’s my final piece from my degree show — all the costumes were made of paper, and... they basically disintegrated right after filming, so we had to work fast! Still itching to create something new. 🍂🤎

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of prop/ costume making and assisting for the creative force that is @clarisse_darcimoles for @theworldofinteriors October issue 🤍✂️
The project was one of creative collaboration at its finest - so many creatives coming together to create something far greater than the sum of its parts.
Taking inspiration from the 1980s book Jane Asher’s Fancy Dress, @mirandaksinclair and @clarisse_darcimoles@mckinlochstudio devised the most wonderfully unconventional outfits (@sofia_caselli and I’s favourite things to make!), with @frankgallacher bringing his brilliant costume-making skills to the team, supported by @linyicostume and @poppyfrean__ . @melaniewilliams2807 also worked her magic on some beautiful additional props! And that’s only the costume/ Set side of things!
It was such a wonderful chance to work ‘outside the box’: creating shoes with shower loafers as pom-poms, candelabras out of pasta, using dog toys instead of beads, gluing pieces of popcorn to onesies… all the wild unconventionality of a truly creative collaboration!

We made fake Mr Whippy ice cream — which meant Clarisse had to pull out her chemistry book in the kitchen and whip up a solution that wouldn’t melt in minutes! Was a real honour to be a part of this and meet such wonderful artists 💛

From crafting giant cardboard shoes to designing floral headdresses for Violet fairies and a giant ‘piano flute’ - this project was pure magic!! 🌟🌸
Everything was rooted in sustainability, creativity, and the dreamy worlds of folklore and children’s imaginations 🧚♀️ I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect project to be a part of - thank you Clarisse for letting me a part of it💜
