Prepped to run the full, but mile 8 was too cracking and led me to frankly throw out the concept of a PR and running as I know it and embraced a " DNF". Try it sometime. I assure you there's a marathon going on every week, but special moments are fleeting.
Took home a fun half marathon with full heart and effort with more profound memories and connections than a fast marathon could ever provide.
It's bigger than running and metrics.
It's about our humanity and how we keep each other safe and accountable while having fun and holding a third space for the shit that matters.

2025 had valleys and peaks. Losses and lessons, but blessings thru it all. Stood firm on the notion that the circle gets smaller and acquaintances abundant.
Ran a couple races and put together a few events, but was proud of the most reppin @goodvibes_tc and LA out in RI linking with the @waverunnersruncrew crew for the Rhody Half. Small state big heart.
grateful for the hospitality shown during my time in PVD.

A summer of seismic shifts in the way we engage with our streets and communities called on the BOUNCE collective to come correct for our 2 year.
BOUNCE has morphed into something more concrete in connecting and sustaining Black, Brown, and POC communities within and outside of running.
Our burger buds over at @lovehourlosangeles have graciously offered to host our 2 year anniversary. LH has been a community hub over the years through thick and thin. This was a no brainer.
Thank you to our community members @inclusivaction for referring eloteros and paleteros to compliment the festivities.
Inclusive Action has been championing SB 635, which would make it harder for authorities to share the immigration status of street vendors in California.
We will have a limited pop-up lemonade stand by the little homie @thefutureisrocky as well.
Finally, our friend @kickinthereal will be in the house recording a special episode of the REALEST podcast with some special guests 👀.
And yes, the big 🥊 fight will be on with sound.

on June 10, a few of us made a call out to each other and to our run club founders/captains.
Rather, this was more of plea for us to come together regardless of crew or block affiliation to step up for our communities.
6.27.25. We gathered at @renegade_running for a 5K and town hall forum to allow each of us a space to unpack and most importantly, LISTEN to how members of our community were keeping each other safe.
the forum served as a safe space for members of our crews to ask what they NEEDED from our communities and crews.
The root of the evening was, “ how do we keep each other safe today, tomorrow, and always “.
This call lies on the shoulders and will of those of us that can redefine what movement in public spaces looks like on behalf of those that cannot move freely.
Where there’s purpose, there’s power in numbers.
The collective of dope organizers from the gathering are still awaiting a couple of outcomes and debriefs we will share as a collective soon. 🤞🏽❤️
In the interim, the community raised a few hundred bucks for an 🍨 vendor thanks to @inclusivaction stepping up.
Continue to support local vendors, mutual aids, and patrol ya blocks.

My birthday for the last 15 years has been bittersweet since the passing of my grandfather on the same date.
I had a good run of maybe 7 years or so from 2011-onward where I would go to a new place to celebrate his life and live how he taught his grandkids- Al momento.
Marathons, metrics, and memories aside, it’s been a beautiful weekend meeting extended family thru an added brother to my kin. STSS
