Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival @alchemyfilmandarts have the film installed from today until Sunday 3rd May in the Borders Textile Towerhouse so there is plenty of opportunity to watch! Kialy will take part in a Q&A on Sunday morning - this is ticketed so make sure you book in advance. Over in Edinburgh the film will play tonight - Friday 1st May - 6pm @filmhouse_edinburgh as part of the Scottish Shorts Collection @sifanfestival fantastic film festival. We’re thrilled that Go Short @goshort have selected ‘who will be remembered’ here as part of this year’s festival. The film will play in the Queering Time programme, beautifully curated by Edie Barnabas @ediebarnabas . Two of the film’s directors Lewis Hetherington @lewishetherington5 and CJ Mahony @cj.mahony will take part in the Q&A alongside Suus Tulen-te Braak @suus_hizzl and Selm Merel Wenselaers @selm_merel Many thanks to the Screen Scotland Markets and Festivals attendance fund @screenscots for supporting the filmmakers to attend and participate in the panel. ‘who will be remembered’ here invited four queer writers and performers to respond to Historic Scotland sites. Performed and filmed on location, their stories bring to life experiences that have been rendered invisible by the suppression of marginalised people throughout history. On the road again. Kaunas>Warsaw>Sofia. Director Ed Sayers @edinstacam notches up another mode of travel in a bid to reduce flights… Lux Express coach. It is sometimes cheaper to be greener. Not always yet sadly. Lithuania’s @kinopavasaris was a joy. Such lovely people, great programming and super warm welcome. There are still two more sceenings to go there. If you know anyone in Vilnius - Super Nature screens again this Wednesday and Sunday. Onwards now to @sofiafilmfest and our thanks to both festivals for helping coordinate things so that two trips became one, and for sharing costs. Super Nature is a love letter to nature created on Super 8 by people connecting across the world. As such, we were able to make it with very little travel. As far as possible we’re trying to honour that as we start to travel with the film. We’re so looking forward to bringing the film to more audiences and especially, as we go near to where they are based, we can’t wait to share the film with all of Team Super Nature - the 40 people in 25 countries that you meet on screen in the film. Off we go again! This time to Vilnius Film Festival in Lithuania @kinopavasaris where Super Nature director Ed Sayers @edinstacam will intro and Q&A in Vilnius in Friday and in Kaunas on Saturday. We are in the same programme as Werner Herzog! (SWIPE!!). This trip marks Ed’s first trip by plane so far but we’ve managed to combine the trip with our following festival. More on that soon. @pictishtrail reveals a slimy new video for the title track of his new album ‘Life Slime’ 🍬 Full of suitably squelching analogue synths, the new single reflects a weary acceptance of time moving forward, a relationship’s end, the quiet endurance of emotional disaster and the feeling of life slipping through your fingers, like so much slime. The spectacularly slimy video for ‘Life Slime’ features @pictishtrail attempting to set the @guinnessworldrecords for “most amount of slime poured over an individual during a music video performance”  (official record verification pending). A few words from the producer Beth Allan (@forestofblack ): We wanted to capture quite a simple and direct performance from Johnny in this one, so the set-up is clean and graphical and we were privileged to get some very real emotions. Thanks Johnny, it’s a beautiful track...Of course we also wanted to completely cover him in warm pink slime! And Johnny wanted it too. So we were cooking up huge pots of slime alongside filming. 'Gaucha' by Daira Ronzoni will have its premiere at @glasgowshort next month!⁠ ⁠ The screening will be on Friday, 20th of March at @grosvenorpicturetheatre Glasgow at 7 pm. Tickets are available now through the festival's website - free but booking required - link in bio! The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Daira⁠. ⁠ 'Gaucha' is a hybrid live action/animated short inspired by imagined migrations across South American borderlands, deserts, underworlds, and shifting biomes where timelines blur. From shimmering water to distant stars, the journey follows Gaucha, a wandering queer mestiza carrying ancestral memories, searching for deities and dreams. Gaucha is a feminist reclamation of the gaucho, a figure associated with myths of masculine heroism. The film draws on the Andean principle of ch’ixi, where Indigenous and colonial worlds exist side by side without fusing into a single mestizo identity. Each remains visible, shaping the landscapes, rituals, and encounters along Gaucha’s path.⁠ ⁠ @dairaronzoni is a multidisciplinary artist based in Glasgow, born in Buenos Aires and raised in the UK. Working across film, installation, sculpture, painting, sound, and virtual environments, her practice draws from Indigenous and queer cosmologies, migration, earthly ritual, and ecological care, building immersive worlds shaped by personal and cultural histories.⁠ ⁠ 'Gaucha' was developed and produced by the Too Happy Artist Commission in partnership with @forestofblack and @glasgowshort with support from @filmvidumbrella and @cofgcollege .
