If being outside all day in a summery meadow, beside an ancient woodland, learning about local building & making practises, listening to pioneering work around communications, modelling & memory and eating delicious food sound good to you - come to BUILD SCHOOL. Ticket link in bio Forerunner x SOWN are hosting a weekend of artist-led workshops & talks over the first weekend in June to celebrate the next lifecycle of YOUNGFOSSIL. YOUNGFOSSIL is an experimental building which began its life in 2021 as a series of seating structures in the gardens of IMMA. It then found its permanent home in 2023 when it was assembled in the fields of SOWN in Ballyfad, Co. Wexford. With the support of the Arts Council, Forerunner are in the process of enclosing YOUNGFOSSIL so it can begin its next lifecycle as a usable, enclosed studio space for residencies and BUILD SCHOOL is a celebrate of this evolution, where we can learn something new and old along the way from some of Ireland’s finest artists and makers. @forerunner_studio @placeevolution @wexfordartsoffice @artscouncilireland @cowhousestudios Supported by The Arts Council and Wexford County Council’s Arts Office – Small Arts Festival Grant Scheme 2026.

Join us on this Thursday July 25th at 6pm for a one-off guided exploration of 'Let's Get The Hell Outta Here' where @stephane.hanly will both inform and misinform the audience through the use of elaborate costumes in the hopes of discovering new truths hidden within the objects scattered throughout this anthology of fragmented worlds. To book your free spot, click on the link in our bio and add your name to the waitlist! Stéphane Béna Hanly @stephane.hanly is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Dublin who works primarily through sculpture, video, sound, and performance, incorporating a humorous approach to making obscure observations in otherwise decrypted scenarios. His work has featured in exhibitions around Ireland and abroad in Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. 'Let's Get The Hell Outta Here' is a group exhibition by participants in the Digital Media Art & Design (DMAD) course at Liberties Training Centre @libertiestrainingcentre , and the result of a two year research project between the DMAD course and Forerunner @forerunner_studio , in partnership with The LAB Gallery @thelabgallery and produced by Superprojects @superprojects_ The exhibition runs until Saturday 24 August 2024 at The LAB Gallery in Dublin.
