Super excited to share the news that “Foreign Uncle” is now screening on The New Yorker!!! Link to the article and film in my bio. Almost 4 years ago, I set out to make a very personal film about my family, with my family. Our relationship evolved a lot over the years, and now I am truly grateful to have this film as a time capsule that I can always look back on with warmth in my heart. Almost one year ago, it premiered at @psfilmfest and since then we've had a whirlwind journey with the film. As a tote bag-carrying subscriber of The New Yorker for years, it is beyond my wildest imagination that this would be the platform that we share the film with the world. Thank you to the team at @newyorkermag for giving us this opportunity! Very honored to have this film released during the Pride Month. Hopefully, it will serve as a reminder that acceptance is worth fighting for. Special shoutout to @yyinuoshi for writing the wonderful article introducing the film! Very excited to share this trailer of Foreign Uncle (2021), a short film written and directed by @victimx Based on his real life experience of coming out to his family and featuring his real-life family members. It will begin its festival run soon, hope to see you at one of the screenings!

Foreign Uncle was awarded Best of Fest at the Indianapolis LGBT Film Featival 🏳️‍🌈 ! So incredibly honored and surprised by this award! Thank you to the jury and to the team @indylgbtfilmfest . Very touched that this story was able to speak to audience from different cultural backgrounds! ❤️

Can’t believe #outfestla2022 ended a week ago ( note to self: work on timely postings ). What a crazy fun time we had at @outfest !
