I first watched Cobrah perform at a festival for emerging artists in 2020, in a crowd of a dozen people - a review I actually dug back up while researching this piece - and it’s been such a joy to see her grow from the fledgling artist that she was then, to the accomplished popstar with such a sure vision of herself now.

In some unexpected news, I’m now a @rinse.fm resident!
I’ll be on the airwaves every month - not as a DJ, but a presenter - as part of their new editorial-led series where journalists are given the reins to look at interesting scenes and sounds. This show is called The Perimeter, and it delves deep into untapped dance music scenes around the world with a few interviews and mini mixes each episode.
First up, I’m chatting to the founder of north London’s high-fidelity rig @feltsoundsystem , as well as festival founder and DJ @stickyricky4000 , about the impact of London’s live-in warehouses and how the creative communities who inhabit them have incubated a politically-charged DIY dance music scene in the capital.
