Went to check up on the Bossanova Baby Installation by @dash._.studio and crew. It’s nice to have this project under my belt and completed. This was actually the first stand alone system I’ve made. A crew member from the woodruff arts center just has to turn the computer on and open the files for it to play for the whole day. Since this I’ve been exploring more systems thinking and designing for long term installations.
This installations runs for another year so I suggest going to check it out especially if you have kiddos! Just type in “Bossanova baby at alliance theatre” and it’ll pop up

This trip to Florida was filled with good times for all. Thanks to the homies for always keeping me proper and aligned. When you have good people in your life, everything feels alright. In a time of constant turmoil you need a community of friends, family and lovers to maintain the peace. We’re all in it together and somehow it makes everything a little easier.

Learned a new skill at a working with metal clay workshop. In this case it was .999 fine silver clay. After the shapes were made we dehydrated the clay for the kiln, placed it in the kiln for an hr. The silver was bonded and came out white because apparently the way the molecules weee laying caused them to reflect white light. After we burnished them they got the classic metallic sheen. Lastly we tumbled them and were left with the option to patina or not to patina. I enjoyed learning directly vs a YouTube or Instagram video and got a lot of the nuanced information. Now I’m kind of obsessed and will be making lots of fun stuff.
It’s honestly rather expensive considering art clay is a recycled product meaning it’s a byproduct of silver manufactures wanting to limit waste and repurpose silver filings. But the trade off is it’s easier than learning metal smithing.

year, @pedro_ernesto__ and I started a community garden project at @globalgrowers in Decatur Legacy Park. We spent a long time plucking mugwort that had overgrown our plot and building up the soil during our first year tending this land.
Unfortunately, I lost the footage from when the garden was at its peak, but regardless, it was a rewarding experience and we’ll be continuing in 2025. This year we’re ramping up production to provide our close friends and family with more access to high quality produce and herbs.
We’re also going to focus on mood balancing herbs to be infused in meads 🥰🥰

Mulberry holy basil mead with mulberries foraged last year (check the link reel) and holy basil from the garden. Berry and basils are some of my favorite combos. I’d like to involve more fungal companions into the mix I just haven’t had any fresh, local or foraged goods outside of chaga and I pair that with other blends. Did you know mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages. Early “mead” were likely just fermented honey deposits stumbled upon by our ancestors but the oldest datings of human production comes from china in clay pottery containers.
I’be spent a lot of my last few years diving into non alcoholic psychoactive compounds and have been entering my fermentation era with mead.
My mead production is technically considered Metheglin (mead with herbs) or Melomel (mead with fruit) and explores the nuances of of flavor combination for specific effects and herbally induced highs.
A lot of my flavor creations will be mead this year for preservation reasons and to explore my relationship with the microorganisms that make this all possible
